CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR All night long I turned and tossed a million times in my bed, trying to understand why Luca, my rather cold housemate would help me with such well-paying job. Tutoring his friend, whose name I gathered was Varun, was way more well-paying than that job at the restaurant and I only get to work on Monday to Wednesday for two hours in the evening. Sunday rolled by quickly and before I knew it, Monday was already in.  My six-a.m. alarm set off and after a quick bath, I pulled a pair of dark blue jeans and a yellow sweater over my body. I would drop by at the college cafeteria for a cup of coffee, then head to class. The sound of frying bacon hit my nose as I walked downstairs. So did Niran chose to surprise me again.
