CHAPTER 2: Search I blamed my existence. Wanting to have a mark on earth is hideous. A piece of mine is destroyed as tear flows and dropped on the sheets. Black ink crawls and covers the wide light part. Thinking of it as my life slowly covered in hopelessness. Leaving the library slowly and glancing back once again. The things that I wanted to do stay on the desk. The same two men approached and again carried all my belongings looking at each other. "Let them destroy it", thought to myself. Going home staring only in my way. Lying in bed.....the bed reassures my worries. I came to school late, the reason is not because I didn't wake up early but because of planning to drop myself out of school. Williams: Twenty seven years from now I've been teaching in this premises. Accidents can be and cannot be predicted. Inside the school lies major and minor happenings. This year, the school never expected it. The news came knocking outside my office. The news is not to be celebrated. Officers, staff, and students wonder why it ended that way including the principal. This could be a result of problems inside homes, bullying, abuse (mentally and physically), and other more dark experiences an individual couldn't handle. A student from History Literature class ended her life at the library. One of Professor Lims pupils. He too never considered this incident to be released in public. The reason is, that student struggle to keep life at its peak. Not of poverty, financial crisis or loneliness but treated the wrong way; never the way she treated them. I talked to Professor Lim about it after the day of the incident. In every person who had known the news, Professor Lim was affected the most. He is the type of person who doesn't show any concerns but is very observant. His actions after that were distressed. He had shown more emotions and started conversations more often. Now that we're much closer than before, I invited him for a coffee this dusk. We finally found each other and made our way inside the shop. This meeting did not surprise him as my topic is more than obvious. I started with a question asking if this was okay for him. There was a pause....and eventually he said that his feelings lightened a bit by talking this to someone. I know it's about his student who ended her life. Why is his posture ready to pounce though? Professor Lim lifted his gaze with a response, "Once someone sees a person; only focusing on its outer presence, immediately they are convinced that this person can only do this and end like this". Another statement about his student. The eerie atmosphere changed the mood inside the shop. I answered his response to navigate the situation to a more appropriate one. Finding the whole cause of it, I needed him to spill that person's jar as he is the only one who monitored them (his students) accountably.
