“Okay, Felicity, here’s the deal.” Lary pats the eight-and-a-half by eleven brown envelope on her office desk, not letting go of it. “There are a few things we have to do first.”
Timex lifts his head from his bed, assuming a walk will be number one. T.P.’s door bursts open. He flies through the outer office with a bundle of messy paperwork, and a, “How’s it goin’? How’s it goin’? Keep up the good work. Mrs. Andrameni, nice to ….” He disappears out the front door.
“Busy,” Felicity comments.
“Very busy,” Lary agrees.
“So.” Felicity adjusts her purse on her lap.
“You brought the required documents?”
Felicity hands her a small package, which Lary deposits in her bag. “So, we’re just waiting for my assistant investigator for the next steps.”
