Chapter Twenty Three

As the night when on Katy fell asleep on Brandon's lap while Jason held Emily. He looked at her and moved her hair out of her face like he did when they first started dating. "Emily I need you to promise me something." he said while looking in to her eyes. She nodded. "I need you to promise me you'll be okay and look well after our baby if anything happens to me , I need you to promise that you'll go on with your life ." he said , she had never before seen him so serious. "We're going to get out of this okay , we all are." She said trying her best to hold back the tears.

How could he say something like that to her she thought to herself not being able to imagine a life without him. "Emily I will do anything for you and our baby okay and I am going to protect you with my life. " he said and kissed her on the forehead. A tear escaped and rolled down her cheek. She quickly wipped it of not wanting him to know she had any doubt that they all were going to be okay bacause deep down she was as scared as the night she found Johnny's lifeless body in the barn.
