Chapter fiveteen

While Brandon and Katy enjoyed the cool river water , Emily and Jason layed near the water watching the clouds passing by. Melissa layed in the sun in her white swimming costume trying to catch a tan. Katy was playfully screaming when Brandon threw water on her. Emily sat up straight and took pf her shirt. She had to go in the water one last time. It felt as though the river was the only way she would have her brother be apart of her childs life. She looked around at her friends. Johnny would have loved them . She sometimes felt guilty because she was living such a amazing life with such amazing people. She wondered if her brother hated her for it.

Just after midday Melissa got out a bottle of red wine from the bag she brought with. "Really Melissa now?" Jason asked her. "Well it's the only way I will survive you love birds and since my f*****g bird is gone you all will just have to deal with it okay." she said while pouring herself a big glass of wine. Jason was just about to answer when somebody's phone started to ring. It was Brandon. He looked at his phone and then at Katy "I got to take this ." he said while walking away so no one could hear him .

Emily looked over at Brandon. The call seemed serious. He looked as if he was stressed about something and the call made it seem even worse. Emily looked over at Katy looking at Brandon. She seemed clueless. Brandon put down the call and placed the phone back in the bags under the trees. He stood still for a moment but then put a smile on his face walked over and said " They just can't get enough of me." trying to laugh it of. Katy looked at him trying to figure out what was going on. He saw she was stressed and playfully spashed water towards her.She laughed and threw her body at him . He catched her and spinned her around. It was strange Katy hated being clueless but with Brandon it was if she only cared about him and not the questions.
