THE MARRIAGE CONTRACT ANA’S POV “Number 30,” The voice spoke out loud and I looked again at the end of the platform and I saw another girl brought up. I recognized her immediately as the girl who said she was ugly. There was a bidding on her head. The final bid was three billon dollars. Probably because if her shape. The man who won the bid was a tall astute gentleman looking guy. He seemed to be a general if he wore a uniform. The girl was brought to him and they said words to him. I saw him nod and the girl was stripped naked immediately. He lifted his right hand and felt different parts of her body. He shakes his head, showing he wasn’t pleased. He pulled out a gun and shot her dead. There was a shock wave that cut through me. I felt like I could stop Breathing, my eyes agape watching the girl’s naked body fall on the pavement. They dragged it out. What scared me the most was that no one in the hall flinched or even looked his way, all eyes on the merchandise on auction. “Number 31.” The man holding me pushed me forward, I almost fell but I got my composure back. I didn’t want to look at all like I was not fit, I didn’t want to die, not like that. The bidding began immediately. A man bid one hundred thousand dollars and another bid one million. Then another bid two million and I realized that it wasn’t about the merchandise but about who would out bid each other. The last man bid one hundred billion. There was no bids. The man in the stand stroke it and I was sold. The came men, came to me, pulling me forward to the man that bid on me. The placed In front of him. He looked at me, right into my tired black eyes with his deep blue gaze as cold as frozen ice. I held my breath without even knowing. He ran his eyes from my head to my toe, his scrutiny was so sexualized that I cringed with self conscious. One of the man asked him. “Do we display the merchandise for you to see fully?” My heart dropped into my stomach. I was going to be striped. What if he did not like what he saw, I would… I would… die. He nodded in disapproval and I felt like life returned to me. They bundled me up and carried me along with him. We took a hidden stairway and came out to a secluded car park and I realized that the bidding ring was underneath an ice cream shop. Locals were enjoying themselves peacefully, not knowing that such was happening beneath them. The men lead me to a car, the blue eyed gentle man boarded another car while I was out in a different one. The car drive off after that I lay my head on the window but I did not dare slepooff, watching the streets and yet I was not going to be part of the activities of that again. He obviously wants me as a s*x doll, What else do men want women for. I whispered a cruse frim my lips. They were for Maria. I cursed her existence and I curse the day she was born and I cuusr my mother for having me; if I was not born, I would not suffer..I cursed my father for making me. Tears filled my eyes and I began to sib silently, WHAT else could I do to ease the fear of the horror that awaited me where I was going. There was a man sitting next to me, he seemed to be with the person that had bought me. He gave me a handkerchief. I saw it and I didn’t know what to do with it. So I just stared, sobbing. “Wipe your tears, Sir Berlusconi, does not.liem to see tears.” He said. I took it from him and I wiped my Tears. He asked he to keep it. And quietly, he whispered to me. “Mr Berlusconi is not that kind of man.” Immediately after he said it, the cars parked and I looked outside. We have driven into a Villa. The biggest I had ever seen. The man got down and he came over to my side, opening the door and leading me outside, I was bare footed and the marble hurt my feet. But I stayed quiet. The man walked up to me and everyone cleared out, allowing a lot of space and us in the middle. “Look at me.” Was the first thing he said. I looked lifelessly in to the ice cold blue eyes. “What is your name?” He asked another question. “Ana Mays.” I said In side with fear. “Ana, the maids will take care of you now. Later, you can thank me later for saving your life.” Then he left and a maid from Inside the house came to me and she led me instead. The maids had me scrubbed from head to toe, I was so clean or was as if I was never in a trouble and they gave me a simple full clad night gown. Finally, I was left in a room to sleep. My eyes stayed open. I had no idea what kind of s*x psycho the blue eyes eyed man was. I wanted to be wide eyed when he came in to take my virginity. But my body was not willing and I slept. It was the sound of the door unlock that woke me. I sat up slowly on the bed, wondering where I was. Then I saw a man in corporate walk into ye room. His white shirt so neatly tucked into those shiny black trousers, I could immediately tell he was a lawyer. He sat on the bed and lay a document on the space that formed between us. Then he looked at me “Miss Ana Mays, I believe?” I nodded my head softly. “I am the lawyer to Signor Vani Berlusconi, your savior. Before you is a contact that he has drafted. A marriage contract. The contract states that..” “Wait, a what?” For the first time since I was captured, I spoke with a little authority. “A marriage contract.” “I don’t understand. What is he giving me a marriage contract? I… what am I to him?” It didn’t make any sense. “Miss Mays, Signor Vani Berlusconi, saved your life yesterday for a reason. To be his wife. He spent that money from that purpose. If the purpose fails, he will find a way to get his money back which is through a means that will be worse than the girl you saw shot death.” I gulped. “The contract will make you wide to the son of the most influential person, the leader of the Mafia, Leo Berlusconi. You are free to tag the clauses and say whether to sign or not sign.” He spoke like the nest thing was about to happen to me. Marrying a Mafia, while opening the book up. I looked at ye book and smile. He was placing it here as if I could change any clause I did not it. I looked back at the book. Right now I had no life left. He owned me, it didn’t matter what title I went by. I reached out and took the pen sticking out of his pocket and I turned the paperwork ave me and signed it. Since I have decided to live, I will do anything I can to stay alive.
