"You gat everything?" Mum asked.
"Yes mum. Everything is here".
She nodded.
"Mum, safe trip"amarr waved.
Yesterday, mum told us she was going on a trip and we were going to stay at our uncle's house for a while till she is back. She told us she was heading to Lagos and guess what, I didn't believe her.
My mum wasn't one to travel and we had no relative at Lagos so she obviously wasn't going there.
She had used that as a cover up. She was going somewhere, and she didn't want us to know.
I also invent things. I invented a micro tracking device that could help me track mum easily. And I also built a communication signal that signals when she is in trouble. I also made a camera, so I can see here wherever she is going to!
Me and my siblings moved to uncle's house, putting home school on hold for the time being, and I made sure to track ma's every step.
As I was looking at the screen watching my mum cross the border of lagos, my heart beat paced faster.
I had to do something. According to the story mama told us, the town was situated in a nowhere, near nigeria, but almost inside ethiopia.
"Yo! Papa! I'm out oo. I will come back before the sky gets dark sha. Ola and I have to go to the gym and practice for the match we have against those hooligans!"
My cousin shouted.
My cousin, Adura, was a professional fighter and never lost a fight....!

I faked coughed.
My cousin was sitting on his car, smoking something I assumed to be w**d.
" I need a favour?". I said
He didn't look high yet, so he was probably still in his right state of mind.
"What is that?" He asked me.
" Teach me to fight!" I demanded.
He laughed me off
"I said.. teach me to fight!!" I gazed through his eyes, authority like venom piercing deep into his eye.
"Ye...yes ma'am." He stammered.
Ahh! I have that effect on people.
We agreed, the fighting lessons started tommorow, since he just came back from a fight.
Before I slept, I did my traditional prayer, reading bible verse in my home language, watching mama for a while before nature decided to close the book and turn it open tommorow.
