Seeing Things (a short story sequel to the novel Pray For the Devil) Thick snowflakes obscured a sign that read: Welcome to Winslow. Ground spots provided plenty of illumination in the vanishing light of day, but the heavy precipitation blurred the writing. Immediately, they noticed the police car facing them, parked on the wrong side of the road. This seemed an unlikely place for a speed trap, since there were several traffic lights along this stretch timed to stop moving vehicles every two blocks.
