He nodded. "Yes it is - probably the most unusual story."
"Your theory about where these visions come from is just a little bit it too - fantastic."
"Can't argue with you. I wish I could explain it some other way. I am not injured, I not am not in any other way clinically deranged. You may not believe that, because you've only seen the deranged part."
"Why did you tell me?"
"It's such an important part of me. I had to tell you before I invested myself . . . emotionally. I couldn't get to like you and then spring it on you later ."
That made perfect sense to her, which was a great relief. She wasn't sure it fully compensated for the supreme weirdness of the young man's story, but it made her willing to see a little bit more of him.
