Chapter 18It was only a matter of time before Chuck Pavel and Luke Furrowes crossed paths once more. Chuck had already settled into the Washington political scene, albeit in the very lowest ranks. As for Luke, his triumphs as an amateur golfer had led to questions about his potential on the professional circuit, and the prospect of playing golf for a living held irresistible appeal for him. As he saw it, that world had just about everything that he could wish for in life. Nothing could rival the thrill of finding himself on a fine golf course, playing with the best in the world, travelling from place to place, carousing with his friends and fans, and along the way earning enough money to enjoy whatever he wanted in his spare time.
