My meeting with Patrick only lasted thirty minutes, but to say it was intense would be an understatement. I walk home like I’m floating in a world without gravity. My brain is whirling, recalling the most important moments of the past half hour. Thirty minutes during which all I was waiting for was suddenly offered to me on a silver platter. I have to admit, it was strange to see him again. Not because I still feel something for him, because I don’t. It’s clear now that I stopped having feelings for him even before our relationship ended, but I probably didn’t want to admit it then. We hugged and we drank coffee together.
