When I open my eyes again, it’s eleven. Well, I slept for almost four hours and I’m more rested. The bed and pillows are very comfortable and smell vaguely of Sean. I roll around under the covers, enjoying the warmth. However, I’d prefer another type of warmth. Sean hasn’t come back to the room yet, so I decide to get dressed and go down. I hear voices coming from the living room and kitchen. Colin appears to not be home. Sean’s father is watching TV. Sean is in the kitchen with his mother. I smile and head in that direction. I’m thirsty and could use a glass of water. I’m next to the door when I hear something that makes me freeze in place. Feeling ashamed, I eavesdrop. “He got married.” I don’t know if Sean is laughing or what, but since they’re talking about a man his mother thinks
