826 Words
Meg and Alex have been in a relationship for three years now and after a long time of being together, Alex and Meg had grown comfortable in their relationship. Meg knew everything about Alex including his quirks and habits and also she had spoken to his sisters and mother, but he had one problem, he easily forgot Important dates such as their Anniversary date and sometimes her birthday, he was an extreme homophobic person and because of that she tried ending her love for boy love series and he always complained about Korean dramas which made her try so hard not to watch it around him and always to do whatever he says, Though they developed a deep understanding of one another. However, with comfort comes complacency, and their relationship wasn't immune to the challenges that come with it. ‎One day, they had a disagreement about something trivial, it was about meg’s love for Korean dramas and Alex complained how childish it is and how Korean men acts gayish also saying all type of mean words and Meg lost it and argued back. It escalated into a full-blown argument. They both said things they didn't mean, and the tension between us was palpable. It was the first time they had a serious fight, and it caught Meg off guard. She felt it wasn’t worth the fight or Alex arguing with her about what she loves “why can’t he accept me for who I am” Meg thought with her eyes full of pain. She remembered when she visited him once, she cooked for him and when they were supposed to eat, he asked why she was using her left hand and she told him her story of how the doctor dislocated it when she was born and before they could fix the hand it was too late, so she could only learn to use her left, he made a very pitiful expression, though it was fleeting Meg caught it, she knew how hard it was for her to open up to him about it because it was like her hidden pain. What she ever wanted was for someone to accept her for who she is not because of sympathy. Though she did not tell anyone it was like her scar in her life, it made her lose confidence in herself a lot of times. ‎She felt hurt and frustrated, and didn't know how to process her emotions. Alex seemed distant and cold, and she couldn't reach him, it was like he blocked her contacts and she felt like he needed some space. They didn't talk for a few days, and the silence between them was deafening. ‎Meg tried reaching out to him even through his friends that stayed in the same house with but they said that they have not been keeping contacts too, but Meg felt they were hiding something from her but she didn’t want to overthink. Meg knew she needed to talk to him, to clear the air and work through their issues. But she was scared of confronting him, of saying something that would make things worse. She didn't know how to navigate the complexities of their relationship, and she felt lost. ‎As the days went by, she realized that their fight was not just about the issue at hand, but about the underlying fears and insecurities that they both had. They had been so caught up in their daily lives that they hadn't taken the time to communicate their feelings and needs. ‎Meg decided to take the initiative and reach out to Alex. She sent him a message, asking him to meet her at a quiet spot in the school park. She wanted to talk to him, to listen to him, and to work through their issues together. ‎As she waited for him to arrive, she felt a mix of emotions. She was nervous about what he would say, but was also hopeful that they could work through their problems and come out stronger on the other side. ‎When Alex arrived, they sat down on a bench, and Meg took a deep breath. "I'm sorry," she said, looking into his eyes. "I know I wasn't perfect in our argument, and I'm willing to work on our relationship." ‎Alex looked at Meg, his expression softening. "I'm sorry too," he said. "I love you, and I don't want this to come between us." ‎ ‎They talked for hours, sharing their fears, insecurities, and feelings. They laughed and cried together, and they worked through issues. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. ‎As the sun began to set, Alex took her hand in his. "I love you," he said, looking into her eyes. "We'll get through this together." ‎She smiled, feeling a sense of relief and gratitude. "I love you too," I replied. "We'll face whatever comes next, together." ‎ ‎
