Chapter 17: The Decision of Raven
"Are you ever unsure of who you would be if none of this occurred?" With a voice scarcely audible above the crackling flames between them, Dax inquired.
Raven took a while to respond.
Her gaze remained focused on the fire, flickering like the internal conflict. Kael's name was murmured by one side, painfully familiar. The other pulsated with the serenity that came from Dax's unwavering gaze.
