THE RUNAWAY BRIDE

CHAPTER 4

Inside the forest I can feel myself losing a lot of balance as if someone else owns my body ,the darkness was too much I could barely see my feet but still I walked....

slowly approaching nothingness then all of a sudden fear gripped me..forcing me to run, a little beam of light shone ahead.Deep inside I wanted to run and turn back but the road back seemed darker than the light ahead,so I quickly ran towards it as fast as my feet could go...within just a short while I jumped to the light and beyond it was something more astonishing than terrifying for me.There my mother stands more beautiful than I have ever seen ,I can feel tears welling up in my eyes and as steady as wind I walk closer to her....

one minute I'm feeling a bit relieved that she's okay but the closer I get to her...the younger she seems.I yell at the top of my lungs while lunging straight onto her "Mama....You're..okay"i can't even get the words out clearly as I'm crying but happiness is also clouding me..Just as I am about to reach and hold her I hear the one voice I wish never existed"Miyara!!".

I quickly looked back to confirm if it was really him and there he was looking as youthful as anyone could ever imagined but wait....is..he.....smiling?in all my years of knowing him I have never seen him flash even a tiny smirk except when he was with my other siblings I guess only I was an exception."Angar!!"I looked back to mother surprised as to how affectionately she was calling him.Infact how affectionately they both were,I stood exactly in that spot I was in shocked at the scenery infront of me.They were.....kissing."Where have you been I've been looking for you everywhere it's cold and you're not wearing anything warm."my mother only flashed a smile..my God when was the last time I've ever seen her smile like that,"It's not cold ,you just want to find an excuse to give me your jacket that's all."they both laughed and it was the most beautiful scenery I have ever witnessed."I want to tell you something, something amazing."She looked joyous maybe a little too overjoyed...my father looked at her with so much sincerity I wonder where it all went,she slowly placed her hand in her belly and looked him straight in eyes and shouted."I'm pregnant!!!!"My father looked bewildered for a minute he stood there quietly as if he had seen a ghost but after some time he recovered"Youre pregnant ??"he said as lowly as his voice could go,"Yes"i could see the excitement on my mother's face slowly fading and worry clouding her beautiful eyes " What you're pregnant?????"He said it so loudly that it almost burst my eardrums.He started picking her up and running around with her in his arms I could see the shock and joy in her face"I'm gonna be a father!!! ,wow!!! thank you so much for this gift"She only giggled like little girl getting candy and said nothing more.

"What are we gonna name the baby??"My mother got into her thoughts for a while and turned to father"Why don't you do the honor?"He looked so excited as if he couldn't wait to hold the baby in his arms"well if it's a boy were gonna name him Jared but if it's a girl her name will be........Miraya!!!"My face turned pale that exact moment .Mom was pregnant with ME!!I couldn't understand anything at all it's impossible there is no way father would be this excited for my birth it's just....impossible.I suddenly felt water touching my cheeks all the way down to my lips i thought it must be raining but noticed I was crying.I wanted to hold back but I just couldn't I just let it out there and then I came closer to them and looked at him dead in the eyes and he looked back at me"Why are you pretending to be so happy!!!!!!!you know you aren't, if me being born is such a curse to you then why are pretending????why do you hate me so much ,what have I ever done to you father??tell me??"I could feel my voice slowly coursing away as my tears fell harder that heavy rain just as I finished he quickly went back to the way he was as if he didn't even see me.That made me angry I went to him and tried to push him but my hands went through him as if he was just a touch less shadow,I tried again and again but nothing happened.Just as I was about to try again I suddenly felt sleepy as if something was pulling me in ,slowly and slowly I drifted. With that I woke up,I tried to move about but something was holding me tighter than any grip I've ever felt when I looked down my legs were wrapped with long slim branches as well as my arms and the more I struggled the worse it tightened and the pain was immense that's when I realized I couldn't breathe and saw I was underwater I panicked.My breathe became shorter and I could feel my lungs were giving out and these branches were starting to cover my whole body up ,I struggled more and more and just as I was about to lose consciousness I felt the branches let go and I wasted no time I quickly made my way out to the surface,I swam as fast as my body could go with my lungs giving out I could tell if I didn't make it out in time I was gonna drown and just as luck could have it I was out.I tried catching my breathe but I just kept on coughing so loudly I could hear the echoes of it but with time I managed to catch it.I layed my body slowly to the ground and just felt the air that's when I noticed a light shining everbright in my chest.I let out a quick tiny smile "Thank you Aethoniel."It seems his spell activated on it's own when it sensed that I was in danger and saved me.I quickly got up and looked around that's when I noticed I was out of that dark forest ,I had no idea how but I didn't want to know either I could still feel the dark energy within it ,I slowly picked up my things and went about my way.

There more I walked there more i felt as if someone was following me,I may not have a wolf but my instincts are as sharp as ever.I slowly reached into my bag and took out a knife and walked faster but there more I went ,the more the chills got harder I quickly turned around ready to plunge my knife to whoever it was following me but I saw no one around.But still I could tell that someone was there"I know you're there so show yourself!!!!"I was scared but didn't want to show it I held the knife firmly ,I may have fought wolves but now my current stare was bad with all these injuries since I couldn't heal myself with my wolf"Come on out before I make you!!!!"I definitely had no way to make whoever it is come out but if I showed fear they might take advantage of that and just then a tall slender old man showed up,he was wearing torn up trousers with long sleeved shirt with a long cane supporting him,his features were extraordinary I could tell he was old because of his white beard and short white hair and wrinkles but he also looked young as ever"My dear you don't have to be afraid ,I'm just an old man who had witnessed a miracle and wanted to see it through.put the knife down."
