The sound of devotional bell was heard from the small temple in the Chauhan house. The Aarti was going on. The melodious voice of Kalpana Chauhan ( Syeraa's mother ) was bringing peace in every corner of the house.
Amrit Chauhan ( Syeraa's father ) was reading a newspaper while sitting on the couch of the living room. His eyebrows creased together due to concentration.
After finishing Aarti, Kalpana walked towards the living room and opened her wet hair and started drying them through a towel.
In the kitchen, someone was making morning breakfast for everyone. She filled up the cups with morning tea and took a plate filled with breakfast. She went out of the kitchen towards the dining room.
"Breakfast is ready.." she announched and took her phone out of her pocket. She called someone.
"Kaha hai tu? phir se adha ghanta late. ab kya bol ne wala hai?"
( Where are you? you are half an hour late again. now what you are going to say)
she uttered annoyingly.
"Shaant ho ja meri maa. abhi pohochnehi wala hu ruk jaa." the voice said while laughing.(calm down mother. i am about to reach there now wait)
she sighed and cut the call. She looked at her parents. Kalpana came and kissed her forehead.
"Our daughter has grown up. See how she is doing the house works." her mother said to Amrit who smiled and said," Well, its a bless to see Syeraa doing work which is a rare sight." her father teased her.
"Papa.." she whined and pout making everyone laughed.
"Don't do that you look like a pig." a voice was heard at the living room before the person enter the house.
"Dev.." Kalpana warned her son who came from his Taekwondo class along with jogging. Syeraa sighed after seeing him in sweat.
"You're not getting any food now. Go and take a shower." she said to him.
"Yeah ,yeah whatever." he said then went towards his room but not before pulling out his sister's hairband which was holding her hair in high ponytail.
"Ahh..maa" she yelled and complained which did not affected her younger brother who laughed and ran out of their.
Amrit sighed and looked at his children.
He could have scolled them like before but not now. He could not and he would not. At last he just smiled and stared at Syeraa who chased Dev out. Kalpana too, smiled at the sight. They did not scolled them. Because they knew that this chasing and pulling each other's legs was nothing but affection towards each other.
