?Chapter 3? Their living room is spacious. Only a few furnitures can be seen. Maybe its because they sold some of their properties when their parents died. Paintings were all over walls. Trees, symbols, n***d women, nature, and I don't know what the other things are but the one who did this is an art genius. And there was a big nude portrait on the other wall. It was a woman with her back facing on us. I know who this is but I did not minded it. “Do you want anything to drink, Sir?" Bassim offered. “Coffee will do, please,” I politely told them. “Make him a coffee, Far.” Farra rolled her eyes rudely at Bassimon so Bassim obliged to do it. This lazy woman. She won't really gonna do someone's orders, huh? “I feel dizzy,” Farra touched her temple and leaned on the backrest of the sofa. “You deserve that,” I saw how disappointed Bassimon was. “Duh, I know right? What are you even still doing here? Its not like I'll be needing any of you here! ” she caught the pillow that Bassim threw at her. “We'll be gone by tomorrow. We missed you, Farra. It would be polite enough if you'll miss us too,” Bassim smirked at her while placing the hot mug of coffee on the center table. “Nah, you just want us to leave because you wanna eat the marshmallows alone,” si Bassimon na nilingi nako, “I'm sorry for her behavior. Its really hard to raise a spoilee brat like her.” “She's a drama queen,” Bassim smiled at me. “Thanks,” the only word I can say as he handed me the coffee. Really. Its nice to be around talkative people. Why? There's no need for you to speak since they own the whole conversation. “What's your real name? I know that Rohannus is an alias," Bassim asked me with his curious look. “Rohann Caeious Tajeño Baricuatro,” I took a sip. “Tajeño? Are you somewhat related to the King?” pangutana ni Bassim. “Um…” I tilted my head and stared at him. Everyone knows that the Knights can only be accepted if they have direct relation to the King. “The King is his uncle,” Farra took the time to answer. Everyone looked at her . Yes,the king and I had a close blood relation but it never go public. I never made it public that I was his youngest brother's son. “How'd you know that?” Bassimon reacted. “I didn't know you're a stalker,” Bassim munched a mouthful of marshmallows. “I just know,” she rolled her eyes again. I can't help but grin at how she reacted . I hid the small smile behind the mug as I sipped on the coffee. I don't know why I'm always like this around her though. She's the only who can make me smile no matter how much I tried to suppress it. “Why would the King send you though?” Bassimon asked while glancing at the opened windows, "Close the curtains, Bassim.” Bassim obeyed his order right away. I leaned my back on the sofa and placed the mug on the center table. I anticipated Bassim to sit on his seat again. Even if none of them are behaving formally, I can still feel the domineering aura they give off. If their poise had a label it'd be, "Bow down, you peasants." “The Halal is near. If you don't know what Halal is. Its a somekind of election done to pick the next Sultana after.” “Oh, the Sultana's dead?” Farra did not even bat an eye. “Yes, just a month ago,” I answered. “Good for her,” I saw how anger became visible in her eyes. Her brothers ignored her. “If the Sultana will die, a Halal will be held. Don't get me wrong on this but Halal is the most dangerous competition of all time. They will the youngest Sultana in the Sultana Clan. The election or how they choose the Sultana depends on her beauty. I have seen a lot of Sultana, and yes, they all of you holds a divine kind of beauty. ” “Ah, pageantry,” she laughed, making her brothers flinch at her. “But the problem is, ever since the Sultana died. A lot of girls especially the youngest member of a family were kidn*pped, acid attacked, killed and some were even blackmailed. Some were forced to marry so they won't become a part of Halal. For now, there are only four legit competitors who are qualified for the Halal,” I looked at her, “…including you. Still, the other families are in search for you. Someone had submitted one of your pictures on the court and they are threatened by your beauty, Farra.” “I'm not joining, ” she stood up from her seat, “I'm not a muslim.” and she left our sight. “I'm sorry if ever her behavior is insulting,” Bassimon smiled weakly. I noddee, “I understand. I am not here to convince her to join. I am just here to guard her.” “Anyway, do you have any place to stay for the night?" I smiled at Bassim, “Its okay. You are not obliged to serve me while I'm here. I should be the one in service for all of you." Our conversation lasts for hours until the two brothers let me go off for the night. I am used to not sleeping for so long. That's why when I woke up at dawn, I saw the brothers leaving their mansion . Maybe, I'll be off for the day and just relax for this morning. I did not bring any food in this place after all. As I was about to climb down the tower, I saw the giddy horse sprinting its way towards my position. I took the sniper rifle and saw who it was. What is she doing in here? Its still so early for her to run around like this. I climbed down the tower and approached her. The autumn leaves fell at the same she jumped off the horse. I moved my gaze away from her, trying to collect myself together as I realized how I got easily taken aback by her mesmerizing actions. She waved her left hand at me as her right one was busy with a basketful... of food? “Good morning!” “Good morning,” I went to my bike. “I have a question ,” she overtook my pace and sat on my bike. “What is it?” I placed my hands on my hips. “Are you going to watch over me the whole day?" her eyes glowed gold under the ray of sunlight. “Yes, the whole day, “ I replied. “But wait? You seem to be going somewhere though.” What is she up to? “I'll just go out for breakfast," she nodded slowly as if she was trying to understand what I just told her. “But you're not busy, aren't you?” she stared at me. "Yes," and I hope you'll get off my bike so I can have my breakfast already. “Okay, so…” she stared at me but the her stare become steady, her cheeks flushed, “Do you wanna have breakfast with me? I mean, we can eat breakfast together…”nilingiw siya, “ I can cook you food...or bring you anything you might like...and you're alone so am I.” “Sure,” the only word I could give her since I don't know what to say to her offer. This is the first time that a woman asks me out to have a meal with her. Her face brightened when a big smile flashed. She got off my bike and looked up at me. “Picnic?” she ran towards her horse. Wew. I shook my head when she offered me to ride with her. “Let's have a meal by the mango tree!" she climbed up the horse, "Come on!" I approached my bike and smiled at her. No, its a big no to ride with her especially if I'll be sitting behind her. That's a no for me. “Ah, how rude,” she laughed and the horse sprinted. I followed her pace. She's really good at riding, huh? I can't help but chuckle as she both stopped in front of the mango tree. After she prepared for our food, we both sat on the piece of cloth she laid out for us. I looked away when she slipped off her blisser, showing her perfectly sculpted shoulder blades and chest . Does she ever realized that I am a man? I don't know. She smiled as if she was teasing me. Even if she isn't fair, her skin is smooth and unblemish. I feel like I am sharing a meal with a goddess right now. I don't know what to react . Everything she do got my tongue. Maybe, I am too enchanted. “You know, its ny dream job to be a Knight,” she spoke out of nowhere. I took two cups, each for the two of us and poured some fresh milk on it. Her mouth gaped at what I was doing. But still, she recovered her reaction right away. The way how she handles her face reactions is amusing me. “It was just nothing actually. I just want to look cool and sexy at the same time,” her eyes traced where my next move will be. I took two plates, put some suman on it. Its a kind of Filipino food that is made of rice and is wrapped in a banana leaf. It tastes good. Though I wonder if she's the one who made this. I placed the plate of food in front of her. Farra is so confusing sometimes. I don't know why she's blushing. Hmm. “And I guess, I will really look so good in an armor, don't you think?" she winked. I nodded at her and spread some jam on the pandesal. As I continued to spread a lot of jam, she keeps on talking and talking. And here I am, being so attentive to every word she said as if they were commands. She stopped talking when she noticed how busy my hands are. I looked up at her and smiled. “Keep talking. I'm listening,” instad of continuing to speak, she just stared at me. I don't know but I love how she stares at me. “What?” She shook her head, "Nothing. Let's just eat. I'm probably really hungry." Nitando ko niya, “Eat well. “ “Of course! Who wouldn't want to eat with …” her sentence were muffled by the last statement since she began munching. “With?” She laughed and shook her head, “Nothing! You should eat a lot. Ah, so delicious. This is the only time that I got to have a meal with someone again.” If only you know how grateful I am for offering a meal with me. Farra, this is my first time.
