No matter how loudly Felix called his name, Orion remained unresponsive on the bed.
What made things worse was that, under the dim light, Felix noticed small patches of bright red staining Orion's chest and the bedsheet.
Orion had coughed up blood.
Felix's heart nearly stopped. Panicking, he immediately dialed for emergency help.
A team of doctors rushed in, hoisting Orion onto a stretcher and sprinting down the hallway before wheeling him straight into the ICU.
Felix paced anxiously outside the emergency room for what felt like an eternity. Finally, the green light above the ICU flickered on, and the attending physician stepped out with a deep frown.
"Doctor, how is he?" Felix was beside himself with worry. He grabbed the doctor's arm, shaking it slightly.
