Face Behind the Mask

Xyrad enjoy the taste of the sun's touch to his face. The warm produced by its rays excites him to open his eyes and explore the beautiful sunshine in the morning.

He smiled genuinely while looking outside the window. The rays of the sun collides against the branches of the trees. The flocking birds enjoyed in flying and moving to one branch to another. The leaves in the tree are dancing, while the others are falling and it's like they're enjoying along with the rythm of windblows. Plus, the different flowers are smiling sweetly that made the sorrounding more colorful and pleasing to eyes. The scenery make his fear faded away.

"They're an art", he was so amazed that he can't take his eyes from the view. " A beautiful creatures", he added while staring at the forest, his eyes are sparkling and his lips are aparted in the amusement provided by the scene.

"Yes, they are. And I'm one of them, beautiful.", confidently said coming from a woman's voice.

"I see", he answered.

However, he was stunned after realizing that he's not alone in the car. There's someone on his back who's currently talking to him. With that, he remember what happened last night. The monster woman who steal his first kiss is now reminiscing on his mind. And there's a probality that it is her. He shivers and he can feel his fur arising again.

Unexpectedly, his eyes widened as he felt a cold touch from his left shoulder. He turned around easily to be sure that it's really her, the monster woman.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh", he scream loudly as he see the face and confirms that it's the monster woman last night.

He was about to get out from the car, but the monster woman hold his hand tightly that made him still, and cover his mouth that made him silent.

"Hey! What's in you? You looks like scared and seeing a ghost or a monster. " the woman asked , she sounds like she's confused.

"M-mmm-Mmmm-Mmmmm", he tried to speak, but he can't speak clearly because of the woman's palm covering his mouth.

"What are you saying?", the woman asked.

"Mmm-mmmm-mmmm", he answered while kissing the woman's palm. It is his only way to convey that he wanted to take her hand from his mouth.

"Huh? What are you trying to say?", the woman asked again, she didn't get what was he trying to convey.

"Mmmm-mmmm-mmm", he keep on talking and kissing the woman's palm. He keep on trying that after all , the woman would understand what he wanted to convey.

The woman keep on staring at him and observing what he's doing.

"Ahh..Ohh ..I got it! ", the woman yells . "Sorry..", she apologize and directly took her hands from his mouth. Then she give an angelic smile.

Despite of the smile she gave, he still remained scared of her. He wanted to escape but his wrist are locked by the woman's hand.

"You're a monster!", he shouted, but the woman just laughed.

" No, I'm not. A beautiful creature like me? Are you blind? ", she asked sarcastically with the smirk on her face.

"I'm just being true. And what's the only I have seen is the thing I only wanna believe. You're a monster!", he insisted.

" Do you want me to kiss you again for you to be awake that I'm not a monster?", she challenged him and move near to his face.

He was stunned, he can't also take his eye to hers, and he can feel the palpitation of his heart and even hear the sound of its beats. This reminds him from what has been happen last night.

"Oh? what made you stunned?", she playfully asked and teasingly stare at him.

"Can you stop what you're doing!" he angrily commanded, but the woman only laughs genuinely.

"Doing what?" she answered back. " I'm doing nothing.", she added, then smirk. " Unless, you just really want to taste my lips. Aren't you?", she teased him and it's like it is effective because for now his eyes are blazing while fighting her stare. His forehead was clenching, his jaw was constricting, and his adams apple was grappling. This signifies that he's really pissed, but the woman keeps on smiling.

"You stole my first kiss! Big Deal! So you must pay for it!", he complained angrily.

"Hey, I have to do it for you to calm down. You look scared last night that you even forget to breath. See? Instead of complaining, you must thank me. I save your life, for you to know", she sweetly smiles while elaborating her reason, then give him a wink.

"Really?", he asked in sarcasm. " Who'll never get scared if they see a filthy monster in the midst of the forest!?", he added while giving her an awful look.

"Hey, how could be a gorgeous and a goddess-like lady be a monster?", She confidently asked while touching her face softly. "Look at my pair of blinkering eyes, it looks like a pleasant dark charcoal which is really captivating. Notice my well pointed nose, a perfect angle that really attractive in different aura. And my red rosy lips that has a delicate curve which is really seductive. And how lucky you are, because you're the first and the last one who taste the sweetness of it.", she enjoy describing her look, while he was frozen. He can't take his eyes on her, and it didn't even blink for once. His attention was captivated by her. Staring at her feels like he's in a paradise, that he's with a beautiful angel who's making him stunned and delighted. He didn't understand what he was feeling right now. But what's clear to him is he already taste a happiness. Happiness that he never felt before. Happiness that the lady he called monster showered to him. This time he didn't felt like he's alone.

"Your eyes says I'm telling the truth.", she said in a boastful way.

"Tch!", he hissed, then rolled his eyes.

"Oh, you look so cute", she said l while pinching his cheeks. But he push the woman's hand away from him. Unbelievably, she still didn't shook, she just laughed genuinely.

"What's funny?", he asked with the irritation of his voice and his reaction. The woman didn't answer , she remained laughing. For a second time, he find himself staring at her bubbly face. He thinks that the woman's smile is contagious, since it makes the smile on his face be born. He can't deny that he was really fascinated to her laugh, to her face, and to the whole of her.

He never thought that the monster woman would make him feel this way. He's wondering, what's in her? How could she make him feel that way?

"Hey! Have mercy, I'll be melt.", she jest.

"Huh?", he asked pretending like he didn't get what the woman says.

"Your staring at me for too long. Have mercy, I'll be melt.", she answered while stopping herself to laugh.

"Stop presuming, can you?", he defended.

"Tss..I caught you, so don't deny it.", the woman said.

"I didn't stare at you, I'm just...", he was stop because he didn't know what to add.

"I'm just? what?", the woman asked, she sounds like she's excited to get his answer.

"I didn't stare at you, I'm just..", he still thinking what he'll gonna reason, while the woman keeps on waiting for him.

"I didn't stare at you, I'm just looking.", he reasoned. " Yes, Tha-Thats it.", he added and his voice are trembling. He sigh deeply and thank himself for having a reasoning.

"Bad liar.", the woman said while secretly laughing.

"No ,I'm not .", he insisted.

The woman smiled and sway her head. "Okay, I'll be just going to pretend that I didn't caught you staring at me. So you never have to lie. Is that okay for you?", she teased him.

"Can you please stop teasing me! I wanna out of here! Where's the way to exit?",he annoyingly asked, and withdraw his hand from her , then he turned on the engine.

However, he was so confused why the car didn't function. He turned on the engine again, but it fails.

" Ahhh!", he shouted in annoyance and strike the handlebar. Suddenly, calmness filled him as he felt a warmth hand touching his back.

"Calm down.", the woman said in a soft and gentle voice, it made him still.

Meanwhile, after seeing the tall trees and different plants on his sorrounding, angerness starts to boils up from him.

He get out from the car, then commanded, " Get out from the car, then point out the exact direction where I can leave from this forest.".

The woman followed, she get out from the car, the walks near to him.

" Sorry, but I can't answer you.", she gently respond, then turned her head down.

In anger, He grab her shoulder that made her shocked.

" Ouch..It hurts..", she moaned.

"Why won't you tell me where's the way out of here?", he was so angry for he was so desperate to get out of here. " Have you planted a bait for me? Did you planned all this? Ohhh, I got it! You kidn*pped me , and for sure you're asking for a ransom to my parent.", he accused her and thightened his grip to her shoulder. "Hahaahah, you think they'll give you a ransom. Tch! your just wasting your time. They don't love me! And they will never get me from you, because their wealth is more important to them", he added, his voice sounds bitter and emotional.

"Please let me go.", she begged and a tear escape from her eyes as she can't endure the pain he caused.

"Who are you to command me? You're nothing, but a filthy monster and a gold digger kidnapper!", he insulted her.

Though he grip her thightly, the woman still able to release herself from him. Tears from her eyes are now flowing one by one. She stared at him sharply, it shows on her face that she's trying to calm down and act like she's okay.

"You're too mean, huh...", she said in a humorous way to pretend that she wasn't hurt.

"We are both lost here in the forest. You didn't recognize me, and we're the same. But our difference is I didn't judge you! I didn't throw you an accusation! And I didn't trampled your dignity!", she added and smiled bitterly. Next, she walked away and now he was left alone.

That sentence throwed by the woman to him spinning in his mind. He later realized and understand why the woman said that she can't answer him. It is because , the woman also lost in the forest and she really have no idea where the way out from here.

"Damn! What I have done!", he scold himself and rubbed his forehead. " I don't just hurt her physically, I also hurt her feelings.", he regrets.

He run after her to apologize , but unfortunately he didn't reach her. He hardly find her without even thinking that he'll might gonna put himself at risk. What's more important for him is to find the woman he just hurts.

He walked and let his feet take him wherever it is. He always turning in every different sides and corners in the forest just to find her.

Unluckily, as he stepped, he feels like he was sinking and his body was going down.

He turned down his eyes and was shocked after seeing that he's in the mire.

"Help!", he shouted as his body continue to go down.

He tried to hold a grass for him to go up, but it only fails him. He raised his hand and keep on shouting for help. But until now, no one came to rescue him.

His body continued to sink and sadly the mud has now reached his neck. Only his head have left while his hand was raised.

But time runs, unfortunately there still no one came to save him. He decided to give up and let himself sinked in the mire. Maybe it's his carma for hurting the woman.

"Maybe this is my end. I love you , Mom and Dad", whispered by his mind.

He closed his eyes as he was soffucate , can't able to breath due to the mud covering his whole. His body keeps going down, at the same time he even feels like he's slowly losing his breath. Until he suddenly awakened as he feel a familiar warm touch.

Someone's holding his hand from above and pulling him up. Meanwhile , he easily open his eyes and feel relieved that he's finally safe.

His tear starts to drop after seeing the someone who save him. He immediately go towards her and hug her tightly.

"I'm sorry.", that's the only word came out from his mouth.

He can't believe that despite of what he have done wrong to the woman, she still save him. He admires her personality, he admires her alot. She's so kind and goodhearted. All of the good adjectives is what he can describe about her. She has a Goddess-like beauty and an angelic personality.

He realized that he's really wrong for judging her. Sometimes, people are not wearing mask. We are just the one who put the mask on them and didn't let them show their true faces.

There is always a face behind the mask. You won't see it, if you won't help yourself remove it. At last, what happened now teach him a lot.

While hugging the woman and having her in his arms , he promised to himself that he'll never let her hurt anymore.
