3. Indu (The Moon)

IRAH POV 

It was a long day….  I already felt how tough Medicine is going to be! 

But now I needed food as I was famished and tired. 

The canteen was at the Southwest corner of the campus and I had to walk a couple of minutes. 

I hadn't made any friends yet and I was walking alone looking around at the big buildings trying to remember where each block was. 

I entered the canteen, went to get the food when I noticed that the pendant was getting warm. 

I looked around and saw that the canteen was getting empty as the people were going out in a hurry.

 I was confused as to why everyone was going towards the exit. 

"Was it me or was it something I did" I wondered in confusion. 

All the students went out and then I knew the reason. In came the same group of guys who had been whistling and shouting at me in the morning. 

All of them were grinning and were walking towards me. 

“s**t! Not again please” 

One 6 foot guy called me! 

“Come here junior!”

I knew that I could take them on in a fight. 

Being a half breed I was more powerful than a normal human and my father had trained me in combat against my wishes. 

But I always managed to control my anger when I was outside my home. 

I didn't want to get into any trouble and raise suspicion. 

I went in front of them and said timidly 

“Good evening sir” at least I remember the rules now!

The pendant was getting warmer now. 

I fixed my gaze firmly on the ground not wanting to have any eye contact with these bullies. 

“I will give them a good beating if they lay their hands on me" I thought. 

“What's your name?” One of them Asked.

“Irah Mark sir.”

“Don't you know how to respect your seniors? 

How dare you not even respond when we called you today.”

He throwed one of the chairs to the floor.

 I didn't move or look at him when he did that! I made sure I'll not show him any fear.

I was really pissed off with this same issue! 

If I get a chance or any power I'll make sure of this “seniors! Juniors! bullying s**t  will not happen!!" 

But now I couldn't do anything and I felt helpless. 

My father was not there to protect me. I didn't want to fight with these guys and I would rather die before obeying their commands. 

Suddenly I smelled something! 

Having the blood of a werewolf , I had a greater sense of smell than any normal person but this smell was something else. 

It gave me a comforting and calming feeling . 

I couldn't concentrate on anything else.

" I know this smell" I thought but couldn't recognize it. 

I took the smell deep inside me and closed my eyes wondering to whom the intoxicating smell belonged to. 

The pendant was getting cold now. 

“Does this mean I'm safe?” 

And suddenly I heard footsteps heading towards the canteen. 

A guy entered the canteen. 

He must be Enormous I thought just looking at his shadow. 

I had not lifted my face up and was still stubbornly looking at the floor. 

He was walking towards me with confident rhythmic footsteps. 

"Oh my god!! Is this guy their leader. What is he going to do to me?? " 

And then I realized the smell which had a calming impact on me was coming from him! 

As he walked inside all these four guys stood up!

“Good evening Senior Ares!”

I looked up to see the person. 

He was well built and must have been easily a foot taller than me. He was looking at the senior guys with anger. 

“Never touch her!” 

He growled at them and took my hands and walked out of the canteen! 

The senior boys didn't say a word. They silently nodded their heads. 

I was surprised and shell shocked.

 "Who is this guy?

Why do I feel that I know him?

Why am I letting him take my hand and walk me out??

Why do I feel safe with him?”

I also know that I don't have any other choice to escape the situation. I had to follow him. 

ARES POV

It was a routine monday evening. 

I had finished my classes and was on my way home. 

Medicine was not my choice but I joined the college on my father's compulsion. 

But I had grown fond of the subject and wanted to learn more!

Being a werewolf studying and remembering stuff was easy and It didn't take much effort. 

I was about to follow my usual routine of smoking a cigarette on my way to the car park when I felt something in the air. 

"Could this be true? Or had I finally become mad like my friend was warning me about!! 

It was HER Smell." 

I needed to calm myself. 

I lit the cigarette and followed the scent. 

A whole wave of thoughts were running on my mind. 

It had been seventeen years…...

Seventeen years I have been searching for her. 

A rush of excitement came over me and I could hear my heart beating faster. The scent was coming from the canteen. 

I reached the canteen and there she was!!!!

I knew it had to be her. 

She was wearing a purple shirt and white Jean. 

Her skin was gleaming. 

Her beautiful hair was flowing in the wind. 

She had put her head down but I could see her face. 

"She's beautiful"!.

 I was drawn towards her. 

She was my cure, my destiny. 

Mine and mine alone. 

I had been longing for her all these years and now finally I have found her. 

I could hear her heartbeat racing. 

"Was it because she sensed me?? " 

And then I saw four guys standing in front of her in a threatening manner. 

I clenched my fists with anger!!!

I wanted to kill them, remove the head from their bodies!!! I could have done it in just under a second. 

But no, I had to control myself to hide my identity and I didn't want to show  a bad first impression to my Luna. 

I walked towards her. 

“Good evening Senior Ares!” said the boys in chorus. 

I looked at them angrily!!

“Never touch her” I said and took her hand! 

I had touched her for the first time in seventeen years! It made me feel like the same five year old kid…. 

My heart skipped a beat but I shouldn't show any signs to her. "I should maintain my cool" I thought. 

I had to give a good impression. Her hands were soft, they were probably the softest I have ever touched. 

She didn't resist, she didn't stop and she followed me.

I held her hand and took her to the parking lot. 

“Get inside the car”!

IRAH  POV

 I don't know why I didn't push him when he held my hand. It felt safe. 

I felt like home near him!

He took me to the parking lot and told me to get inside his car!

I don't know why I'm  listening to him! But I did whatever he told me without any second thought. 

He started the engine. I was staring at him but he didn't look at me. 

"Are you staying at the hostel? " He asked 

"Yes sir" I replied with much effort. 

I had difficulty getting my words out.

 I never had this problem as I was very much talkative. 

"No need to address me as sir " He smiled. His voice was dreamy. I could look at him and hear his voice all day. 

I know I'm  falling for him. Is this the guy I was waiting for all my life. 

“What happened there?” He asked me..

I know he is a complete stranger to me but I felt compelled to tell him everything. 

"Seniors… bullies..!! " I started to mumble. 

I really had difficulty concentrating on the words. 

" I am making a fool out of myself" I thought. 

He started to laugh!!

" Don't worry, it happens to everyone. It is sort of a practice here. " He said calmly. 

I was still staring at him…

“Okay Irah! He is cute and really hot. 

So definitely he will have someone in his life! So stop trying to impress him and waste your time” I said to myself.

I inhaled deeply and his smell went into my brain. 

I felt completely intoxicated and was lost in his charm. 

 I saw that he was about to look at me and I quickly managed to turn my head towards the window. 

We reached the hostel. 

"Why was this damn place so near to the college? " I wanted to spend more time with him. 

I looked at my watch. It is 8.45pm now! 

“s**t”  I said aloud. 

“What happened?” he asked me.

“The devils are waiting for me! I'm pretty sure I'll be the center of attraction today!”

“They will not disturb u!” He said. 

“No! I don't want to go. They will eat me” I said to him looking at the entrance of the hall and I realized the party had started already. 

“I don't want this!”

“They will not disturb you,” he said and got out of the car and walked towards my door. 

As he opened the car door all the seniors' eyes were on us!

I walked out looking at them…

“You told me that they will not disturb me! But I can already see them waiting for me!” I said to him looking at the hall.

"Trust me INDU" He said.

I was frozen and stood still!!

Suddenly I felt him grabbing my hand and turning me around. 

I did not know what was happening and before I could think or react I felt his lips on mine.

I closed my eyes tightly. 

His arms were around my hips now and he held me tightly. 

He lifted me up and didn't let go. 

My first ever kiss!

I felt dizzy now. 

I felt time was moving slower. 

I felt his hand going under my shirt and touching my skin. 

His touch sent electricity all over my body and I left out a small moan…..

 He used the chance to put his tongue inside my mouth and he was exploring my mouth with his tongue. 

It was warm and it was one of the nicest feelings I have ever had!!!

 I wanted it to last forever. 

Suddenly I came to reality,snapping out of the trance and tried to pull myself away from the charming stranger! 

He then stopped kissing me and put me down! 

My eyes were facing his chest now! I can hear his heartbeat. It was beating really fast. 

He hugged me and  whispered in my ears, “Good night INDU” 

I pushed him away and wobbled towards the mansion, still in a dizzy state. I still didn't realize what had happened. My lips still wanted more but another question filled my mind and it terrified me. 

“How did he know my wolf name?”
