"Okay guys, that's enough for now. Let's get ready for the performance!"
I could see Tina waiting for me with her make up kit.
"I'm ready now! You can start painting my face" I said and closed my eyes.
"Don't open your eyes I'm trying to define your eye baby girl."
"Tina, is this outfit fine?"
"Ya it's nice! Just make sure it's comfortable for you to dance and wait……. let me give you a matching black eyeshadow for your costume" she said.
"Tina, where is V? Why can I never see him during day time?" I asked her and put two potato chips inside my mouth.
"Never mind him! He is a night owl. He always stays awake all night and sleeps during day"
"Seriously? What will he do for the whole night? Does he play games or party all night?" I asked her trying to open my eyes.
"Don't open your eyes Irah! I'm still working on them" Tina said in an exasperated tone.
"Sorry sorry, I couldn't resist. Your brush is tickling me" I told her.
"Tina is everything fine?"
"Ya… I'm just confused!
I don't know what color lipstick I should put for you. Both colors goes well with this makeup and your costume."
"Can I see and select one ?" I asked Tina.
"Ya sure, you can open your eyes now."
I was actually confused with the colors as they both looked the same to me.
"Tina, both are red colors right?"
"No Irah, this one is berry red and this one is Ruby red"
I seriously didn't know what she was talking about! So I silently closed my eyes again.
"Tina I think this mascara needs to be set! I'll close my eyes for a few minutes. You select one"
"Okay fine! I'll use the berry red" she said and started painting my lips.
Suddenly I remember asking about V to Tina. Why is she so silent when I asked about him? But I see him almost everyday near our hostel during night time.
"Tina.."
" Yes Irah! Sit straight honey, let me do you high pony."
"Why is V always awake the whole night?" I asked, still nagging her.
After a moment of silence she said, "He has a job to do at night! That's why he stays awake at night and sleeps in the morning.
You are ready Irah! Open your eyes now."
"But he stays with you at night, most of the time. When will he get the time to work and doesn't he go to school in the morning?"
"Oh Irah, Enough with your questions. You are ready! Have a look at the mirror and tell me what you think. "
"Okay let's see!
OMG!! Is that me?"
"Stop joking Irah! It's your reflection in the mirror. You look like a model now!"
" I really can't believe my eyes. Tina, you are so talented! Look what you have made. Love you so much" and I tried to hug her. She stopped and said,
"Now now, you have to control all your emotions Irah! Or else the makeup will be a total mess"
"Hehe.. sorry! Ok I'll go and check if Ares is here already!"
RYAN POV
It was getting late for the program and Ares was still bathing.
I knocked on his door and asked him.
"How long will it take Ares? We have to go somewhere"
Suddenly the door opened. He saw me with confusion!
Shit! I know this look. He is suspicious now.
"Where are we going?" He asked
"Fresher's party"
"Why should we go there? It's usually the second year and first year students right?"
I don't know what to say! As our Luna ordered me to maintain this as a secret.
"What's happening Ryan?" He asked me again.
"Nothing machan! What if someone bullies Irah in the party? That's why I want us to be there. "
He looked at me for a second,
"f**k! I totally forgot about that. Give me five minutes Ryan, I'll be ready."
IRAH POV
I came out of the makeup room looking for Ares! I already booked two seats in the front row for Ares and two seats behind for dad and mom.
Suddenly, I saw my dad searching for me.
"Dad! Dad! I'm here"
"Irah! My little one. How are you? You look so beautiful." He said and hugged me.
" Dad don't hug me so tight my makeup will be destroyed!"
"Haha! Alright.. So, Is my princess ready for the performance?"
" I think so Dad! But where is Mom?"
"Your mom is not like us, is she Irah? She still gets sick . That's why I asked her to take some rest. But I couldn't miss my little girl performance. So here I am! "
"Is she alright Dad??"
"Nothing to worry Irah! It's just the same arthritis pain. She will be fine"
"Okay Dad! I'll call her after the performance! Let's go to your seat."
I was worried about my mom! And suddenly I saw my phone ringing.
"Irah! It's Joe. Where are you man? We will be the third performance!"
"Sorry Joe! I'm coming back stage now." I hung up the call and walked to the back stage.
Suddenly I smelled something. A smell that was so intoxicating that made me stop on my tracks.
I can smell him! He is here.
I stood with shock and excitement. I tried to look for him all around but I couldn't find him. I frantically looked around. This smell was going straight to my brain and making me go crazy. If I could see him now I'll really jump on him and fulfill all the thirst I have for his lips. Crazy guy! He left me with this kind of wild imagination for almost 2 weeks.
The smell is really stronger now! I was standing near the backstage door and searching for him in the audience.
"Are you looking for me?" A warm voice behind me said!
I knew it was him.
"Nope! I'm looking for Tina. By the way who are you?" I asked him with a big smile on my face looking straight into his eyes.
"Oh ! Is that right or should I make you remember everything once again. " He said and pushed me against the wall with his strong hand on my hip.
"Take your hands off me. " I said and pushed him and playfully gave him a slap.
"You left me all alone for this many days. You were out partying with other girls I suppose. " I asked him with a fake angry tone.
"I'm sorry babes! Just got caught up in work and you should know that I have eyes for no one else except you. "
His voice melted me. He was coming closer as he talked and I knew he was about to kiss me. His hands had a tight grip on my hip slightly squeezing my skin. He was looking directly into my eyes which put me in a trance. I was completely lost and could see only his eyes, everything else was a blur. My lips parted automatically as I waited for his to touch mine and I closed my eyes.
"Stop" I heard a familiar voice shouting at us.
"No! You are not going to spoil my makeup." Said Tina.
He scowled at Tina still holding me tightly.
"Sorry Senior Ares... It's difficult to put the makeup again before the performance!" Tina said.
He looked at me, " Performance??? Are you performing??"
I was shocked!
This Tina can't even keep one secret.
"No! I'm just cheering Tina. Tina will be the one performing." I said trying to change the topic but he was now scowling at me. I rushed near Tina!
"Tina! Why don't you tell him that you are the one who is going to perform!! "
"Yes. Senior Ares. I'm going to perform. I'm going to do a singing and dancing performance. Both at the same time. Also a few magic tricks along with a few gymnastics and may be also cooking."
She started blabbering. I put my hand to my face.
The girl couldn't even lie properly. What am I going to do with her, I thought. I shouldn't let her keep talking or she will spoil the whole thing.
"Come Tina, let's finish your makeup. Your performance is gonna start soon. "
I grabbed her hand and rushed away, waving at Ares who was still standing with a look of confusion on his face.
"Come macha! Let's go to the hall and find our seats. The program is about to start!" Ryan said and dragged him out.
Thank God! That was a narrow escape. For a moment I thought he was going to find out my surprise for him.
This dance performance was only for him. I wanted to impress him and show him my talents. I wanted him to be proud of me. This was my first performance in front of him and I wanted to make it special and this thought made me a little nervous. I knew I would be alright once I went on the stage but before the performance I was always a little jittery.
I could hear the crowd erupt. The programme had begun and I started pacing around backstage.
"Irah! Sit down. You are going to be tired even before the performance starts. " Tina said to me.
I didn't listen to her. I couldn't keep still and stand in one place. I could hear the crowd cheer and boo the people on stage and it only made me more nervous.
"Irah. We are up next !!" Told Joe, one of the boys who was going to dance with me and nodded at me.
I nodded back and closed my eyes for a second to compose myself.
"Here we go. " I thought to myself. "It's time to give you the best performance you have ever seen Mr. Charmer
