The rising sun of the new dawn filtered through the windows. Mattresses filled every spare space on the floor of the dining room. There were so many wounded.
The spell that hit Asher severed all his ligaments and muscles in his shoulder and pectorals on his left side. The healers and Phoenix were working hard to heal him, but we had been warned that he may never get full use of his arm again.
