Ethan~The Last Day

Sitting in class waiting for 4 p.m. to mark the end of the last class of the school year I can't believe it's almost over. Alpha school has been the toughest and most rewarding thing that Mom and Dad have ever forced me to do.

I can't wait to bring home my chosen mate Sonny we've been together since second year and she's of alpha blood her older brother Collin is getting the alpha title when she returns home but she will be mine even though she's not my fated mate.

Our pups will be strong and pure, and that is important! I say to Jax my wolf.

I wish we waited for our actual mate she's just not it. Jax growls in my head.

That's enough Jax, all Alpha and beta children are sent to Alpha School along with Shane and I. None were my fated mate when we turned eighteen 3 months ago. I could never be mated with a gamma... or .... - inwardly shudder- a Delta...

Seriously?! Didn't you pay attention in school? Fated mates are perfect for you in every way, the moon goddess ensures it!! Besides even if your fated mate is an Omega, a wolf's ranking should not matter to you or determine whether they are worthy of being your mate or not!! Jax growls in my head.

An Omega?? My heart stopped dead in my chest, the moon goddess would never pear me up with a lowly mutt, we will do this my way!! Besides mom will love anyone I bring home and call my mate!! I proudly tell Jax.

You would dare lie about that?! You'd break our mother's heart if she found out that you are going to lie about something so precious and important as the mate bond. He snarls.

Which is why she won't find out, Jax!! Sonny will be sticking around and if my fated mate does come along and think she could possibly be our Luna... Ha!! I'll reject her! I say a bit smug.

Jax snarls in my head, if you hurt our fated mate I will never forgive you and I will ensure you will never be pleased or satisfied unless you bed her I swear it.

What?? Jax has never acted like this before... Whatever mutt and I put up a block. What's up with Jax all of the sudden? It's like he actually wants to meet our mate. Being with Sonny for the last 5 years has taught me something, you can't just fall in love with someone when you first see them it can't be possible.

Even with the mate bond there you can break it and you can be with who you want!! You can be free to choose your own life and that's what I want with Sonny. I can be who I want to be and lead the pack the way I want to while I follow my father's footsteps. I've decided, Sonny will be my Luna and she will be the one by my side.

"Mom..." I say. "Hey I have some amazing news!!"

"Hi honey!!" My mom answers happily. "I'm almost ready to hear it, just give me a second to wash the dirt off my hands."

"Hold up!! Wait, Mom why do you have dirt on your hands? You never do anything outside!!" I say a bit concerned. With Alpha School and wanting to fit in I hardly ever actually call my parents or ask them about personal stuff and haven't even seen much of them since I left.

"Oh! That's right, it's been so long... Well, since you left six years ago, and for five years now, Pelle and I work in my personal flower garden every afternoon!! I've never told you because whenever you call I always get excited to hear about your day or about how school is, and oh honey, I can't wait to see you tomorrow!! We got a beautiful flower garden in the back for garden parties and for your commencement Party as well as your Alpha ceremony!! I can't wait for you to come home and oh man we have one hell of a party for your return!!"

"Woah mom!! Slow down, who's Pelle and you've never had a flower garden. You can't even keep a cactus alive longer than a week!!!" I say as I become more and more confused. Mom didn't have a green thumb at all when I left.

Mom bursts into laughter and the confusion that I am already contending with completely skyrockets. "Oh honey!! I will be a very new mom and Luna to you! About a year after you left for School, Pelle joined our pack as an orphan from the Royal pack, her father was the personal guard of the Lost Princess and she's one of our best warriors. She has taught me so much about plants and gardening too, you'd be surprised what your mother keeps alive in the house now!!! Anyway we officially have a garden and it's all thanks to her, she's done so much work for the pack and she's been a great addition to our warriors as well and I really think you'll like her."

"Wait Mom, are you telling me you spend 90% of your time with some low omega?? Why??" I ask. "I mean, think of how embarrassed I'd be if my friends from school came and witnessed such a thing!!" A Luna has more important things to do rather than frolic and garden with a lowly mutt, why isn't mom thinking about her image as a leader?!

I hear a small gasp from the other side of the phone. "I'm sorry, not that it matters but she's actually a high Omega her wolf power is equivalent to that of an average Alpha like your father and even you!! The Royal pack consists of the purest and strongest wolves in any land, besides, when did you start caring so much about rank??" My mom scolds.

Ugh!! Mom sounds like Jax, our image is crazy important, I can't believe that mom doesn't care about the rank of her company!! I don't care where she's from!! An Omega is an Omega, why can't she see what I see??

"We can't have our allies thinking that we actually spend time with omega's, that's not what ranked wolves do!! They are supposed to serve us not the other way around."

"I'm not about to argue with you young man but if I ever catch you disrespecting a single lower-ranked wolf we will have issues" Mom sternly says. "When did you start thinking that Omega's serve us?? They are our people, we protect them we serve the pack and therefore them. Omega's and lower ranked wolves may not be as powerful as we are but we protect our people that's why we lead, not because it's a birthright."

I could tell that my mom was disappointed in me, but what can she expect my reaction to be when I find out she's been doing lawn work??

"Yes Mom, you have my word. All wolves are precious and belong" I say trying to reassure her.

I've been having this drilled in my mind for The Last 5 Years and even longer than that from Mom herself.

"Okay, now... what was the happy news that you have for me? Your weird Alpha complex distracted me." She asks.

Don't you do it! You are already hurting your mom with the mindset you have about a person you've never met, you can't lie about having a mate!! Jax growls in the back of my mind.

I should have my block up, besides what does he know?! I ignore him and take a deep breath.

"I found my mate mom, her name is Sonny and I'm bringing her home with me tomorrow!!"

"Oh my babies!!! Oh! His mate!!!!" my mom screams with excitement. " Everyone!! Ethan found his mate!!! Oh Goddess!!! Tomorrow's going to be a big day for my baby boy!!!!"

I laugh out loud and shake my head. I can't believe mom gets so excited over these things and I can't wait for her to meet Sonny.

"I got to go Mom, I need to pack and get to bed" I say shaking my head with a goofy smile on my face. Eat that Jax!!

"Okay honey I will see you tomorrow and I love you!! Oh! There's so much to do!!! He's got a mate!!! Pelle!! where's Pelle I'll need her help!--click

Without warning she hung up the phone. Laying on my bed in my dorm and let out of breath I didn't know I had been holding. Wow I really did lie to Mom just now... It'll be fine it's not like my fated mate is going to be waiting at home or something.

Besides someone is going to have to show this Pelle her place. There won't be any Omega messing around and spending time with my mom, no matter where she comes from, she should know better than to spend so much time with the Luna.

Then Sonny knocks on my door and pulls me out of my worries. Ah yes, Sonny her scent of strawberries caresses me through the door. It's mouth-watering, but the thought of her naked body is striving to fix all my frustrations almost instantly. I get up and open the door and see her smile.

"Everything's taken care of," she says sweetly. "I told my parents I found my mate and I'm coming home with you. Afterwards, we'll go to my pack so you can meet my parents and more importantly my brother-- My growl cuts her off.

"Close the damn door I don't feel like talking right now" I say in a husky whisper as I take in what she's wearing, and how sexy she is without those clothes. My d**k began to twitch in response to my aching thoughts of lust.

She walks in slowly, so damn slowly, closes the door and stands in the middle of the room. I step back and take her in, medium length wavy blonde hair and brown eyes and creamy tan skin... she's a knockout with whatever she wore and what she's wearing right now won't matter in a few minutes...

I let out a low growl in appreciation when I smell her arousal, sweet, submissive, perfect.

"I want you to know that you will be a perfect Luna for me and I better see that tank top of yours to fall to the floor" I say still devouring her with my eyes.

I need her now.

"Mmm I love it when you take charge."she whispers as she takes it off for me.

And that's all I needed needed, my shirt joins her tank top on the floor and I'm upon her in no time at all.
