I couldn’t sleep, having restless has been a thing of mine since I found out my husband was no longer faithful to me, it is crazy, I know but there is nothing I can do about it. I cried my eyes out hoping when my eyes gets tired they would sleep off and it work. The following morning, I slept at the corner of my bed awake, but my mind, body, and soul were simply elsewhere. “What are you thinking of?” Michael as he stepped out of the shower “Nothing,” I answered sitting up from my bed, “I will go check on the kids,” “Are you sure there is nothing wrong?” Michael asked as he dried his damp hair with the towel he was with. My rage was rising by the mere sight of him but I still choose not react even as I tried to head for the door, “Scarlett…” “What! I already said there is nothing wrong Michael, what else are you expecting me to say huh? Are you expecting that I tell you that each I cage myself in this marriage I am suffocated by your constant mistreatment, everyday I wake up there is always something new with you…” my forehead creased as I blowed hot at him. “What is it this time?” Michael spoke nonchalantly as if he didn’t care that I was losing my mind. “You should take a good look for yourself instead,” I opened where the stranger texts were and passed it over to him before I collapsed on the bed. “Michael how can you keep doing this to our family?” I asked him expecting too much from him at this point. Michael scrolled through the phone and returned it back to me, “Is this what you are concerned about? I should never had asked what got you so worked up…” “And that’s all you are going to say? Seriously Michael, do you realize that this fool has a ticking bomb that could blow our family apart?” I questioned because it seems my husband had no clue how much effect if this goes out. Michael speaking as though it is all of his messes I am suppose to clean, “I thought you handle this sort of thing? How could you let this one slip away from your hands?” “How am I suppose to keep track of all the women you go around with? Sixty five percent of your time, you are always away in god knows where…” I replied, I have seriously dug my grave. “Scarlett, this isn’t the first time some w***e has had my ass on camera and this isn’t also the first time you have handled it, it shouldn’t be hard for you, pay them whatever amount they seek,” Michael said with a wave of hand. “She, he, them… they are requesting five million dollars from us,” I told him. Michael’s reaction was just as mine, he burst into uncontrollable laughter, “Whoever this is just can’t be serious, let me see the video again, I think I can recall this place is. Stop stressing, I will handle it,” “What do you plan on doing? Besides our time has elapsed, she is probably…” Michael cut me as I was I was about to go off again, “Shh… do you think if this person wasn’t desperate, she wouldn’t have released it since, let me take over, love,” I sighed wanting to trust Michael but I had a feeling he might makes things too complicated, he hasn’t handled things for himself before and wouldn’t know how to approach things, he simply can’t be trusted. Either way, everything was all on him now. I had my bath, dressed up and went back to the woman that is well respected, raising my head high as if nothing just happened. The only thing that crossed my mind that pissed me off again was when I remembered I was suppose to report Seth to Michael, and seeing him through the window made it hurt me more that I didn’t. Well, priorities first. If Michael issue is solved, then I can easily moved on to Seth’s, who knows he might be a bad influence to my kids, just look at him. “Scarletttt,” Brianna said in her squeaky voice as I backwashed into my coffee, that won’t be any good now. I called one of the maid, “Get me another coffee, get rid of this one,” I ordered before going up to meet Brianna who surprising has Christian with her, “Why isn’t he in school?” “Oh I couldn’t meet up with the payment so he was sent home, it is fine, Christian will stay with me for now, isn’t that right baby?” Brianna ask her innocent son and he nodded. I was livid. “Ma, your coffee,” The maid I sent returned. I wonder if she wants that I hold a spitting hot coffee in my hand while I attend to my guest. They are so dense. “Thank you dear, please drop it on the table,” I spoke politely with a smile on my face. “You are so nice to your staff,” Brianna commented. “Well they are human beings and I consider all of them family,” I said, I bent to Christian level who was still holding on to his mom, “Christian how are you?” my tone was low and soothing. “I am fine,” The cute boy spoke and my heart melted. I took him from Brianna’s hand as I picked him up, “Christian are you hungry?” Christian shook his head, “No, thank you,” “He is so polite, I am keeping him,” I hugged Christian tighter as I kissed his puffy cheeks. “Why didn’t you remind me about his school fees? I told you I was going to pay,” “I didn’t want to bother you my friend,” Brianna said. “You did before and I said that I would. Christian is also like a son to me, he reminds me of Leo when he was little,” I gave Christian to one of the maids to take care of him away from us before I picked up my phone and place a phone call to Christian’s school and later called my accountant to handle the rest, “Everything is settled,” “Oh thank god, I was wondering how I was going to fix all these issues. I have been racking up on so many bills, it is exhausting,” Brianna let out almost cussing under her breathe, “This is too much, I thought this divorce was going to bring me fortune but it ended up… let it be,” “Yes, don’t think much of it dear,” I told her, trying to be supportive however I can. Seth walked into the kitchen with us, slightly greeting and walking to the kitchen. “I can’t stop thinking about this your new driver, is there a way we can exchange… here he comes,” Brianna take her eyes off from him immediately. I had remembered then that there was errand I needed to be done but as most of our drivers weren’t available, he was the only one I could turn to. “Erm… Seth, I need you to help me get things off from this list for me, Leo needs them,” I said as I attempted to pass him the list in question. Upon much closer look I noticed he went to the kitchen to grab his breakfast. Seth was expressionless as he stared at me with the same eyes as last night. It said a lot, but I had no clue. I knew it was wrong timing. He probably might think now that I have decided to make his life miserable.
