After checking herself in front of the mirror, she took her handbag and some documents she needed to submit for a job interview application.
As soon as she stepped out of the bedroom, she saw Alexander quietly watching television. As she got closer to where he was sitting, the television was muted.
“Where are you going?” Alexander asked, looking at her.
“Didn't I tell you that I'm applying for a job?” she replied simply.
They had been living together for a week now, and the previous night during dinner, she had told him that she needed to work since Alexander wasn't telling her anything about finances.
She needed money for herself, to buy the things she needed, and for personal expenses. She also wanted to experience having a job, something she had never done before.
