ESTRELA "Attention, girls! Here comes Hotti again", Silas grins. I follow his gaze. It's Kian, who is just clearing a path to the bar. Whenever I look into his eyes, I think of our kiss and how it just disappeared afterwards. And today the next best thing just sticks to him. I knew he was like that. He looks insanely good and is sure to be cheered on by everyone. He enjoys this attention and takes advantage of it. Realizing he has his sights set on me, I quickly announce that I'm getting more beer from the lager. I don't miss Summer's scrutinizing gaze, which follows me until I've disappeared around the corner. I close the door of the warehouse behind me and take a deep breath. Damn, now it's come to the point where I'm running away from a guy. I look around the small room and consider taking a sip of the tequila. Because slowly I have the feeling that I won't survive the evening sober. But my stupid plan is rejected by the opening and closing of the door behind me. I turn and look straight into gray eyes. I catch my breath because he's standing so close to me and the room isn't exactly big. It even seems to me he would have shrunk from his presence. The white shirt he's wearing today hugs his muscular torso. He looks so hot in this casual outfit. I can never think straight in his presence. "Estrela..." His voice is hoarse and deep - it suffocates my breath. When he takes a step towards me, I immediately take a step back. But I can feel the shelf on my back. I can't answer, the scent envelops me too much, the heat that spreads inside me and above all the tangible crackle that lies between us. "I'm sorry," he whispers softly. I'm still unable to answer. But he apologizes, at least that's something. And I'm sure Kian isn't the type of person who apologizes a lot. Kian probably also noticed the changed mood. His eyes study me intently and he runs his fingers through his thick black hair. My mind is screaming to go away. My body is screaming to come closer, hold me to the shelf and...kiss! As if reading my lewd mind, he takes another big step towards me. My pulse is beating like crazy and my breathing is a ragged gasp. He's standing so close to me now that I can even see his scar above his eyebrows. I wonder if it's from a fight. He reaches out to me and gently touches my hips. A tingling floods my body. "Estrela..." he whispered, as if my name were a prayer. He's getting closer and closer to my lips. Suddenly all I can think about is those soft lips that feel so good on mine. Kian realizes that my eyes are on his lips. He lowers his head slightly and the next moment, I feel his lips on mine. I reflexively bury my hands in his hair. He growls and hugs me with the full length of his body. Kian's tongue enters my mouth, causing me to groan and tighten my grip on his hair. Meanwhile, his hands go exploring. First he caresses my hips, up to my waist, until he cups my breasts and begins to knead them lightly. I gasp and enjoy his touch. He bites my upper lip and I feel his hardness on my stomach. "Kian..." I moan his name as he begins kissing my jawline and neck. He finds a particularly sensitive spot below my collarbone. I run my hands over his chest, feeling his muscles underneath his shirt. As my hand attempts to slip under his shirt, the door suddenly yanks open and a shocked buzzer bursts into the room. Kian pulls away from me with a snort and looks over his shoulder at the troublemaker. "Ela? .... Oh!" Summer looks at us in shock and I can feel my cheeks starting to glow. I squeeze past Kian to put as much distance between us as possible. I'm embarrassed that Summer almost got us. But I'm also glad she burst in. What would have happened if you hadn't come in? I look at Kian, who, clearly frustrated, runs his hands through his tousled hair where my hands were buried a few seconds ago. "I-I'll go up front again," I stutter sheepishly and turn away from the two without another glance. I just have to get out of here! I glance back, see Summer talking animatedly to Kian. What does she think of me now? I have to explain to her that what just happened didn't look like what it was. I had just lost control of my body. But that's nothing new when Kian is around. "Chica, what happened to you? You're all red," Silas hums in my ear as I return to the bar. "Um... It's okay," I say, less convincingly. Luckily, Silas doesn't go into it any further, but goes on with his work and so do I. As I serve a new customer, I catch a glimpse of Summer and Kian emerging from storage. Summer gives me a look that means we're going to talk - and Kian doesn't look at me again. I don't know if I should be happy or hurt about that. It's true that Kian didn't push me away this time, but the last few times have shown me that whatever is between us is not allowed to be. KIAN "Damn it, Kian, what are you doing?" Summer asks me, stunned, after Estrela has left the camp. "What am I up to? Are you serious?" I snap. "Yeah, you almost ate each other! What's going on between you guys!?" "Nothing!" I answer quickly. "Absolutely nothing, Kian! You kissed... Look, Estrela is a really decent woman and-" I interrupt her. "Serious? You're lecturing me to stay away from her because she's too good for me?" I reply, annoyed. "Yeah, that's exactly what I'm doing, Kian! Just leave her alone, okay?" she says seriously, looking me in the eye unmentioned. "It was just a brief slip-up on my part. Not that bad. So stop pissing me off with this unnecessary talk!" I finally growl. Summer rolls her eyes and leaves the camp, annoyed. Summer is clearly taking in too much than she should. I just hope she doesn't tell Jason. He really doesn't want to hear his opinion about it either. Let them just mind their own s**t! After an hour at the club, I'm tired of it, so I decide to leave. "I'm going," I call out to Jason. He frowns at me. "Already? You never leave that early," he asks me, letting his gaze wander through the crowded club. "Yes, but I don't feel like it anymore. And I have to get up early tomorrow to train." It's not even entirely a lie. But staying around Estrela any longer is really getting on my nerves and my self-control right now. The kiss between us in the camp was damn hot. And if Summer hadn't barged in, I would have completely lost my mind. Just looking into Estrela's eyes is enough to make you want her immediately. And damn how much I want her! I run my hands through my dark hair in frustration. My gaze slides to Estrela, who is about to disappear outside. Confused about her early departure, I follow her. In front of the club, I watch her flag down a cab. A guy who suddenly appears next to her says something to the taxi driver whom she has waved over. The taxi then drives on and to the next people who are standing on the side of the road. Angered by this, Estrela turns to the guy, and he gets closer to her. Without further observing the scenario from a distance, I approach her and stand behind her. Just catch the words of the i***t. "...won't you come over to me, sweetie?" he asks, noticing me standing behind her and frowning. "Is that your friend?" he asks, pointing at me. Since she apparently hasn't noticed me yet, she first tilts her head and then looks over her shoulder at me. "Kian? Um... no that-" "Yes, I'm her boyfriend, you i***t," I interrupt and pull her to me. Feel her body tense as I pulled her against me. "Okay..." the guy looks at me curiously, then at her. f**k! Maybe that was just a little thoughtless of me. Who knows if the guy knows me. I'm not exactly unpopular here in town. If he knows me, and goes on, I have a girlfriend... Although who would believe a prat brain like him? "Now f**k off," I say sternly. The guy turns on his heel. He's comfortable today, not out for stress. It wouldn't have ended well for him anyway. "What's that about?" Estrela barks at me and breaks out of my grip. "How about a thank you?" I say instead with a smirk. "For what?" She raises her eyebrows. "The guy was about to pick you up and chased you away from the cab you were trying to take," I reply. "What? How long have you been watching us? And anyway, I could have done it on my own!" Is she mad at me again? God, I don't understand this woman. I was just holding off a guy that she obviously wasn't interested in. "Come on. I'll drive you home, then you don't have to take an overpriced taxi," I say, ignoring her words and pointing to my Mustang. "What? ... No, Kian!" she says, trying to flag down a new cab. "Now don't be silly! I'm offering you a free ride here. Besides, my house is on the direct path to your apartment," I explain. Estrela looks at me and slowly lowers her hand. "Aren't you going to stay?" Goodness, the woman is stubborn. "No. Otherwise I probably wouldn't be out here." "OK." "Okay, what?" I ask, eyebrows raised. "I'll go with you," she finally says.
