Chapter 6: Cousins

She awkwardly nodded while forcing her smile, "...When time comes then. Let us do... Partnership." She quietly cursed herself. Was he serious?

Davien, I don’t care about anything... but Partnership... I think... it's very.. abrupt...

She said in her mind.

"We can also merge, since cosmetics and fashion comes together." He said. He finished his food then put away the cup.

He rested his chin on his palm. “What do you say?” He used his other hand to tap the table rhythmically.

She nodded thinking the possibility of what he said was true. Fashion did come together with cosmetics. “Yeah. I think it will be good.” Then ate the last spoon of ice cream.

As he watched her, he felt the world was spinning for them. It felt like… the world is beautiful when he’s with her.

Feeling his stare, she looked up to him and slowly touched her face. “….Is there… something… on my… face?” she kept looking down, avoiding his gaze. He was satisfied at her reaction thus chuckled.

He covered his mouth when he chuckled then looked at her blushing face. “You look cute when you're blushing.” He complimented with a genuine heart.

She blinked then get out while holding the flowers he just gave to her earlier. Gladly, she finished the ice cream he bought, after all it was her favorite. She was literally out is words to respond anything.

He went to pay the bills and the clerk said, “Such good relationship, keep it.” He said without looking at Davien.

At first, he was confused why the clerk suddenly spoke and then he realized, it was for him, he smiled and thanked the clerk by bowing.

Walking out, he saw her sniffing the fragrance of the petals. Discreetly, he captured a perfect angle. Then after, he hid his phone inside his pocket. He approached her like he didn’t do anything then stood beside her.

As she looked up to him, a hint of elation could be seen on her face then she asked, “What was this flower called again?” she looked at the petals then quietly count them on her head.

He put her hair behind her ear. “Alstroemeria.” He simply answered. She took out her phone and invited him to take a picture. They took pictures with her holding the flowers sweetly.

He doesn’t know but why did he fell in love with her and with his young age 19? Yeah, he was just 19 and she is 18, so a year age gap.

Though it’s some sort of childish love, he could feel that she is sincere to him the way he is sincere towards her.

They went out to amusement park and ride those different rides. Lastly, the Ferris wheel which on the top, you could see the buildings and the mountains.

Without wasting their date, they took pictures a lot of times. Currently, Ruby put her hand on the window to look closely at the beautiful views outside.

Davien surely enjoy watching her than the view. For him, she is the most beautiful and no view can compare her natural beauty. Albeit, she is a little fat, he doesn’t care, at least he accept her the way she is. That is also why Ruby loved that romance about the fat girl because she, herself can understand how fat girl lived with the way she looks.

She admitted, she ate a lot, but she doesn’t care unless all people hate her.

Despite all of this, she won’t care unless Davien loathed her. Surely, she don’t want to be hated by him.

She accepted how he lives, in contrary, he should also accept the fact that she was bit fat with a little belly.

He blinks then spat, “Beautiful.” He was out of his mind staring at her so he was momentarily in a daze.

She knitted her brows, couldn’t fully understand what did he said. He tilted her head to him to find that he was also staring at her. “….Uh? What did you just say?” she asked with a big question mark over her head.

He shook his head and snapped out of what he was doing. He gulped, blinked and looked at her. “…err. Are you having fun?” he could only make a lie to not detect how embarrassing he’ll put himself if he say the truth.

She frowned seemingly didn't fully understand what he said. In her mind, she was certain that he told different a thing, but she won’t dig deeper, maybe he just misspelled it or she just misinterpreted him.

“Hmm, this is so much fun. I wished every day, we are like this.” She said.

He was stunned at the unexpected revelation of her mind. He smiled then put her beside him sitting on one chair.

When night came, the two bid goodbye to each other and went to their respective houses. While walking inside their house, she couldn’t help but to smile and sensed danger from inside their house. What will await for her behind that door?

Sure enough, arriving at the living room, her cousins were there, not all, just those who are close to them and her family. She scoffed at the scene and didn’t bother to interrupt them.

One of her cousin noticed her and looked at her, “You’re here? Was your date good?” her cousin Ervin asked her with a little teasing in his voice. She glared at him, she warned him not to care.

But he was too persistent and grabbed her arm. She was shocked and immediately took off his arm. Looking at his fascinated expression, she was stunned too.

Taking two step backwards she couldn’t help but to wave her hand motioning him it’s unintentionally.

“I am so sorry. But I already told you, I have Hypersensitivity, so don’t recklessly hold me or I would have itchy skin.” She immediately said with a frown attitude. Ervin pouted then helplessly walked back on his seat.

Daxon looked up to her then smiled at Ervin. “You were too careless.” He reprimanded. Ervin madly glared at him then sat.

You probably don’t know but in her circle of cousins, there were only three girls and the remaining’s were boys.

The boys genes were too much for the girls to carry thus gave up and let them be born. Veizy approached them with a tray on her hands which has there are breads, and juice.

Putting down the snacks, Veizy followed Ruby with her eyes as Ruby went up to her room.

As she finished decorating the table she shouted, “Ruby! Come down here and have some fun with your cousins!!” she said while staring at the closed door of her room.

Lyniel pat Veizy’s arm then said, “It’s alright. She already had a date, it will be too troublesome if we make her come down. Let her rest.” he said not looking at Veizy.

He then busied himself examining the bread in front of him and took a piece before putting it inside his mouth.

All the boys nodded at his suggestion, so Veizy left with no other choice but to let Ruby locked in her room.
