I Screamed and bolted upright out of my nightmare, tears streaming down my face as I looked around and realized I was dreaming about the night my parents died. I slowed my breathing down. Remembering that night is my worst memory. That night the alpha rogue searched my house but never found me. It was hours maybe even a day before Alpha Sean found me. The hole packs have trapped doors somewhere in the house and only the Alpha knows where they are. The Alpha had taken me to his office to ask me what happened as I told him the best I could. He also informed me that my father died that night fighting to protect the pack. More tears rain down my face when he told me. I only had my fathers brother and his mate and their son for family left. So the alpha placed me in their home. I got up from the chair, straightened my back and walked with my Uncle out of the Alphas office. They have never liked me. So I slowly turned into their slave as I had to clean, do laundry and cook for them. Anything I did wrong they would hurt me for it. I always tried my best not to upset them.

I looked at the time on my phone it was quarter to 5 which means I need to get up and get ready for the day to make breakfast and clean up before school starts. I get up and take my towel and clothes to the bathroom to get ready for my day. I do this as quietly as possible so as not to upset my family. I don't want to be beaten today. No one knows that I have been hit over the years because they only do it where I am covered up by clothes. I finished getting ready so I could go make breakfast when I bumped into my cousin James. My eyes widen as I know I'm about to get in trouble. "I..I'm so sorry James I did not know you were there and awake." I stutter to him with my eyes shifting to the floor.

My family is the Gamma of the pack and James is to be the next Gamma to the next Alpha. "Well well look who is up and in my space this morning very brave little cousin." he said with a sinister smile plastered to his face. I apologize again and try to walk around him so I can go make breakfast but he trips me and I fall catching myself with my hands he then proceeds to kick me in my stomach as I curl up hoping it stops soon. When he stops he steps over me and laughs "Maybe next time you will watch where you are going. Now get up and go make me my breakfast." I watch as he walks away. I get up slowly as I'm in a lot of pain from him kicking me, and I go make breakfast.

I make eggs, bacon pancakes and crescent rolls. I set it out for them and then I grab an apple and run out the door for school not wanting to upset or get another beating. On my way, I stop at the only friend I have out of the whole pack, my girl Alicia!

I knock on Alicia's door waiting for her chipper self to answer. She opens the door in a good mood as always. She is 5 foot 8 inches long legs skinny pretty dirty blonde hair bright blue eyes and very strong for a beautiful girl. She would be strong. She is training to be a warrior. "Hey there Keri what's up? Come in while I finish getting ready." She is staring at me now with a worried look. she sighed and asked "what happened, did they do something to you again?" She is the only one who knows that I am abused at home.

"I am ok I just bumped into James by accident he then tripped me and kicked me in the stomach. I will be ok, I will heal." I said as I looked at the ground.

"One of these days I'm gonna show your cousin the same fate he has shown you!" with a very angry look on her face which only makes her look cute instead of angry. I pray whoever her mate is is going to have a field day with her. I laugh on the inside at my friend.

"Ok I get you are mad but please don't do anything you know it will only get worse if you try. I just hope one day I find my mate and he can take me away from all this." as I move my hand around. "So are you ready? Can we head to school now? I got some stuff to do in the library before class." I have very good grades but if I don't study my grades will drop.

"Yes I think I'm ready to go. Hey mom I'm leaving, see you later. Ok let's go, do you want to walk or should we take my car?"

"Can we take the car, it is quicker?" I asked.

"Of course we can take the car." We left the house to get in her car, and we climbed in. She has a baby blue old mustang. I love her car! "So do you have plans this weekend? I wanted to go to the mall for some new clothes." Alicia asked.

"Well I have all my normal stuff to do around the house. I could be done by 9. I would just need to be back by 5 to make it to the celebration. Do you just want to get a new dress for that night?"

"Of course I just want a new dress and maybe some other clothes. Don't you want some new clothes?" ask Alicia.

"I do but don't have enough money and my Uncle wont give me any. I can go with you and give you my two cents on how you look. Besides, I enjoy going out with you and having girl time." Giving her a wide smile.

"Ok as long as we have a great time. So how was your night, you didn't get in trouble last night did you?" she inquired.

"I did not get in any trouble last night, but I had that nightmare again. The one where my mothers died." tears threatening to spill over as I remember that night. Alicia knows about that night and tries to support me as much as she can. She is the only one who cares enough for me. She is like the sister I never had. She is always there for me when I get picked on at school. She stands up to them all the time. She makes life worth living. I took a shaky breath to try to calm down before we got to school.

"I am so sorry that happened to you. Our mothers were best friends and I miss them just as much as you do. Do you even know why that Rogue Alpha was looking for you? I mean why would they want you? You were only 7 when they came. What could they possibly want or need from you?" she pondered.

"Your guess is as good as mine. There is nothing special about me. I really don't know what they wanted. I really don't want to ever see them again. Although I am curious to know why they wanted me in the first place." I pondered. Thinking about that night again made with a shiver run down my back. Silence filled the car as we were almost to the school now. We pull in and we make it to our lockers with no problems. Thank the moon goddess that we haven't run into any problems yet.

"Oh look there is my ugly little omega cousin interrupting the peace as always." he sneered at me with all his friends around. I looked through my eyelashes at him and then the crowd around him. He was surrounded by the future Alpha Hunter, his future beta Lucas and some of their girlfriends who hang all over them. We tried walking away, no need to piss them off by saying anything. But we were cut off by one of their friends. I think her name is Chelse.

"Where do you think you are going? Your Gamma was talking to you! Alicia you can go away, this has nothing to do with you." I give Alicia a look and she huffs and walks off leaving me there as I asked her to do with my eyes.

"Ppplease move I don't mean no disrespect I am just trying to get to the library." I turned around to ask James," is there something I can do for you before I head there?" Scared of what his answer will be. I look around and my eyes drift to Alpha Hunter again as he is giving me an unreadable look. I then turned my attention back to James.

"Yea go get my books out of my locker, grab me a soda, and oh yea pick up my dry cleaning up after school!" he said with a laugh as everyone else laughed along with him.

"Yes Gamma I will be right back with your stuff." I took off to his locker then I went and grabbed his favorite soda. As I rushed back towards them. "Here you go, Gamma." As I handed his stuff to him.

I then take off as quickly as possible to the library. I step through the door and take a deep breath. I take another breath and head to the table in the corner were no one can see me and I start to study. I get so lost in my studies before class starts that I almost miss hearing the bell ring indicating to get to class. I collect my stuff and take off running to my first class making it there just in time for that second bell to ring. Few I made it to class on time. The rest of my day went without a hitch.
