Chapter 23
I hid my reaction from Drake and Peter, not wanting the attention on me. If the killer was watching me, I didn't want him to witness my reaction to his words. And, I did not want Peter to drag me away from the club; to what he would consider safety. Not when the killer was planning to act soon and didn't realize I had been warned. And, forewarned was armed.
Thankfully, one of the other actors came up to talk to us. She was a local teenager, with a small part, and clearly in love with the stage. She had just left Marcus and Jimmy, and it was clear she was awestruck. Drake kidded her for a few moments, and she giggled in embarrassment.
