The next morning Louis was feeling pretty good about himself. He wasn’t happy how the day before started. It was like everyone forgot he was mourning too. But after being able to tell his little part of the story to one of the private detectives he was feeling like maybe someone might take him seriously.
The cops showed up but didn’t say anything to Louis. They only talked to Suzanna, Mr. Stevens secretary. It made him feel like he was less than he was in the church. He knew most people didn’t like him spending so much time with their leader and normally he didn’t care what they thought, but now with the cops not even talking to him, it made him angry.
