Fifteen That Thursday morning it was cool out. I sat at the table we have on the back patio. The sun was just turning the sky a light blue. I had a book with me. My hair was still wet from the shower. I only ever toweled it off. It didn’t take that long to dry since I only let it grow a little longer than the Navy required. Probably just out of spite. The travel mug of coffee I had was half gone when Annabel stepped out to say good morning. “How did you sleep,” she asked. “Pretty good, but then again look who I sleep next to.
