We had been in the office about fifteen minutes when the door opened. It was one of the kids that walked us in. He started to say something but Mr. Stevens put his hand up and cut him off. “Come back later Mark.”
“Yes sir,” Mark said as he retreated.
I was sure Mark was asked to get us out of there but I guess Mr. Stevens changed his mind. That was good since it showed he cared a little.
“I think you are right guys, please ask Mr. Sanchez to return tomorrow and I will have Eva available.”
“I hope you don’t mind but we will return with him also. I wouldn’t mind talking to you a little about how things work around here,” I said.
“That would be just great sirs.” Stevens stood and we followed. He shook both our hands and we left the way we had come in, except without an escort. Back
