“Uh oh,” Karina mumbled to herself, lying across my bed. Her red hybrid eyes were glowing like she was getting a mind link. It was probably from Reese. That's who she has been waiting for while hanging out with me, talking up her cousin every chance she could.
“What?” I asked.
Dad took mom out for dinner, since they knew I was with Karina. It’s just us in the apartment. I was sitting on the floor, painting my toes to distract myself from the fact Calum hadn’t come to find me since I left him with his family earlier.
