CHAPTER 10 : Part 2

3516 Words
My head throbs at the amount of wickedness that's going on in the world. The rain isn't stopping and neither is Torrin. He had passed out for about five minutes, before waking up. He wouldn't stop whimpering, though I can't blame him seeing as he's hearing heaven crying. Rahul has done something that no one's ever heard of. He's killed a living God, something that I couldn't even do. Or so I think. I hate to admit it, but maybe I don't stand a chance against Rahul. He's very strong and he only has one stone, imagine how powerful he'd be if he has the rest of the stones. There are seven stones and sure I have the majority of them, but what if that's not enough. I barely even know how to use one stone, let alone more of them at the same time. My hands pull at my hair in frustration. Torrin's whimpering is giving me a headache. I like it better when he's not like this. "Tače." The word comes out my mouth and I'm instantly not able to hear him, even though he's still whimpering. It's quite sad how all the supernaturals that belong to the Gods are going through this. Walking over to Torrin, I sit down beside him. My hand grips the towel around my body tightly. "Ahhh, just listen to the sound of my voice and calm down." Taking ahold of his hand, I place a kiss on his knuckles and rub it slowly. His body tenses at first, but then soon eases. "Everything is gonna be okay. Just breathe and try to block out the cries. Can you do that for me?" Torrin slowly shakes his head, yes, his eyes closed and he lets out a breath. "Tače." He stiffens when I reach for him. He's hesitant at first when I try pulling his head down onto my lap. After a second go by, he finally complies, leaning his head down against my shoulders, instead of my lap. Torrin's heartbeat echoes in my ears, it beats at a faster pace than mine. "They won't stop crying." He whispers, covering his ears. My eyes close, not knowing what to do. "Ummm." I start off. "You just have to take your mind off it." I bite down on my lips. "Not many people know this, but before I was turned into a hybrid, I wanted to be a singer." An inhuman chuckle slips past my lips. "There's this one song the villagers use to sing to the children, but because of my albino skin, my parents and everyone else was forbidden to sing the song to me. But little did they know, one of the elders sang it to me once." I smile, turning to look at him but he's already looking up at me. His eyes are different when he isn't glaring at me. You could almost see the bit of humanity left in him. "It goes like this, Moja, mbili, tatu, Nne, Tano, Nimepata samaki, Mkubwa mno Nawe mwenye nguvu Kwanini ukamuwachia? Kaniuma kidole Nalia eee, eee Nalia eee, eee Nalia eee, eee.Mkubwa mno Nawe mwenye nguvu Kwanini ukamuwachia? Kaniuma kidole Nalia eee, eee Nalia eee, eee Nalia eee, eee." Torrin bursts out laughing, catching me off guard. This is the first time I've witnessed him laugh and he looks... adorable. Did s*x with me do this? The twinkle in his eyes shocks me. "You know, maybe it's a good thing you got turned into a hybrid. Because if we're being honest, you definitely wouldn't make it as a singer." Was that supposed to be a joke? I glare at him, which causes him to chuckle. "Shut up, I'm just rusty. Why don't you sing, I'm sure you can't do better than me." Torrin smirks, shaking his head. "I most definitely can beat you at singing. You're no completion." "Show me what you got then." He stares at me, his eyes bore into whatever soul I have left. "Not today." I pout. "Maybe some other time." "You're right." We fall into an awkward silence, for a couple of minutes before I speak again. "We're good right? I mean, we just had s*x and all but---." Torrin sighs, scratching the back of his head. "We should get to heaven now. They're expecting us." He says, ignoring my question. "But---" He raises his eyebrow at me. "A God just died Natasha, let's not get into this right now." He says, interrupting me again. He's back to being his regular self, an asshole. Standing up, I brush past him, making sure to purposely bump him with my shoulder. "Whatever," I mumbled, putting on my shirt. Slipping on my last clean underwear, the atmosphere in the room changes. "Natasha." Someone whispers. My head perks up at the sound of my name being called. Looking around the room, I see no one but Torrin. "Natasha." "What the fuck." I curse, backing away. My eyes flicker to Torrin. "Did you just call me?" Torrin looks at me confused. "No." He tilts his head slightly. "Do you hear someone calling your name?" He asks. "Yes." His eyes widen as he realizes something. "s**t! Come on, we have to go. Now!" Torrin says reaching for my hands, but it's too late. He freezes in his movement, the only thing in his body that's moving is his eyes. It doesn't even sound like it's raining anymore. It's like time has stopped. "Torrin?" I question. “Torrin?” "There's no point in calling his name." The voice says again. "He can't hear you." My eyes scan around the room, still not seeing anyone besides Torrin. The only two heartbeats in this room that I can hear is his and mine. "I'm not a fan of invisible things, show yourself and I'll probably think twice before I cut off your head." A demonic chuckle sounds throughout the room, causing all the hair on my body to stand up. "You're such a funny little girl, you and your baby threats. But since you insist that I show myself, then so be it." A red mist appears before me and a groan escapes my lips once I see who it is. "What's wrong love, not happy to see me." I glare at Satan himself, Rahul. "Don't call me that and no I'm not happy to see you. You just killed a God." An evil smirk forms on his lips. "I was only trying to negotiate with Zeus. When he disagreed Poseidon had to pay for his brother stubbornness. It's not my fault that these Gods, as you call them, can't just say yes." Rahul looks over at a frozen Torrin. He takes a step closer to him, which causes my heart to shift. "Stay away from him," I say boldly. "You're here for me, not him, therefore, don't you dare touch him." Rahul chuckles slightly, shaking his head at me. "You've taken an interest in my son." My eyes widen. What? Torrin is his son? That doesn't even make any sense. "Oh, he hasn't told you who I am to him yet?" Rahul asks, before shaking his head. "That's Torrin for ya, always trying to keep everything a secret." Rahul looks over at me. "For what it's worth he's taken an interest in you too, even though he'll never admit to it." He sniffs the air. "I can smell him on you, you know? Water won't be able to wash his scent off you." I close my eyes, trying to ignore the fact that he knows I slept with his son. "Stay the hell away from us." "No can do love. Like I said the last time I saw you, ever since you were in your mother's womb I've been keeping an eye on you. And now the time has come for you to fulfill your destiny." He smirks at me, sticking his hand out for me to take. "Take my hands, so we can make the world a better place." "No," I reply, backing away. My back hits the wall. Rahul glares at me. I look into his eyes, and nothing is there to behold. An endless depth of ink is in his eyes. "I'm not one to do things by force Natasha, but it seems like you have left me with no choice." He snaps his fingers and a red dagger appears in his hand. "I was going to wait till you got to my home to do this, but you need to learn a lesson." "What are you doing?" Rahul steps forward. "In order for you to reach your full potential, the human in you must die." He states. "No, the human in me is what contributes in me being a hybrid. I need my human side, Odessa said so." Rahul rolls his eyes at my words. "Everything Odessa told you was a lie so that you limit yourself. So that you limit your powers." He tells me. "There are so many things you can do Natasha and you don't even know it. Think about it, how do you think I'm able to use the wrath stone if I need you to power it. You're the key to everything." "Shut up!" I yell. "I'm tired of hearing you say that. I'm not sure how you're able to use the stones, but just know I'm not powering anyone of them." My fist balls up, my body feeling a familiar anger wash over me. "You have two seconds to leave." I threaten. The vein in the middle of my forehead starts to throb and my jaw starts clenching. Burning rage hissed through my body. Rahul looks at me in amazement, when he sees my canes coming out. "Magnificent." He says, before pulling something out of his pocket. His hands glow red as he reveals the wrath stone. "You haven't even touched the stone yet and it's already calling you." Pain rushes through my bloodstream creating an intense agony. My bones outstretch and my jawbone dislocates. "The stone wants you to shift Natasha, stop fighting it and just do it. Show me what you're made of or else." I glare at him, feeling my body wanting to shift. But I try my best to keep it at bay. It wasn't the right time to be a lycan right now. "Or else what?" He smirks at me. "Or else I'll kill my son. Right here, right now." "No!" I growl. The thought of him, killing Torrin doesn't sit well with me. "Leave him alone!" My entire face structure transforms. The hair on my head spurts all over, my eyes turning blood-red. "I'm going to rip your head off." My fingernails grow at an alarming rate into razor-sharp claws, as I'm forced onto all four. Rahul shakes his head, before lifting up his hand and snapping his finger. Suddenly Torrin is picked up off the ground and is thrown against the wall. "Come on Natasha." He taunts. "Come show me why they call you hybrid." Suddenly I sprang at him with a gaping mouth filled with sharp teeth and dripping hot saliva. I swing my massive claws at him, but he dodges it by disappearing. He appears behind me, pushing me to the point where my head hits the wall. Rahul lifts his hand up and shoves his palm forward. Fire spills out, burning some of my furs. I howl in pain, the smell of my burning flesh is now in the air. "Oh, this is just too easy." He taunts. "How about we use a sword." Rahul snaps his finger and a sword appears. The handle of the sword is bound with black and red leather, the hilt decorated and the blade is long. He lifts up his sword, just as I charge at him again. This time I don't miss, my canes latch down on his arm, making black blood seep from his body. Rahul looks at me in both shock and amazement. He lifts up his hands again, sending me flying across the room. My body hits the nearest wall and a loud, piercing sound comes from my muzzle. Rahul walks towards me, his blade flash as he brings it over his head and hummed a low, swift tune when he brought it down. Before the blade can even pierce my skin, it's stopped by another sword. My eyes gaze up at the cold grey sharp steel and then the solid blue handle until they finally land on Torrin's face. "What did I tell you would happen if you tried touching her again." He asks Rahul, his voice now filled with anger. "Son, I'm glad you could join us," Rahul says, unfazed at the fact that Torrin isn't frozen anymore. He looks down at the two touching swords. "You gonna set the sword down?" Torrin glares at him. "Not even close." Rahul rushes at Torrin, but Torrin dips and weaves right before he can even get to him and slashes downwards with the sword. He goes to hit Raul, but Rahul sidesteps to the right just enough and the blade passes a hair's breadth from his face. Quickly, before Torrin can respond with a follow-up, Rahul swiftly punches Torrin in the chest, knocking the wind out of the fallen angel, and stunning him for a brief moment. Taking the opening and using the environment to his advantage, Torrin backflips onto the wall and pushed off towards Rahul. The maneuver sends him front flipping towards Rahul and just before he reaches him, Rahul lays his body out. Instead of colliding with his son, he wraps his feet around Torrin’s neck instead. "Give up son!" Rahul hiss. "Never!" Torrin's eyes glow silver as he looks at me. Before he could do anything else, I shifted back into my human form. "Cadere!" I chant. They both are hit with a blast of wind. Rahul collides with the raised floor and his head plows through the woodwork with a painful cracking and crunching sound as the wood shatters under the enormous pressure from the attack. Running over to Torrin, I help him up, making sure to put his arm around my shoulder. "We need to get out of here." Torrin lifts up his hand and his sword flys directly in it. Pointing the sword at the ceiling, he says a chant. "Πάρε με στο σπίτι." A flash of white light surrounds us before we're sucked into a powerful source of energy. We're no longer at the hotel, but instead, someplace else that looks magical. It's something beyond description. It is filled with beautiful light, flowers and so much more. Pushing Torrin away from me, my hand forms into a fist. "Rahul is your father," I state, angrily. Torrin straightens his posture and scratches the back of his neck. "I don't want to talk about it." "Yeah, well I do!" I snap. "I don't care!" He snaps back. The veins on his neck pop out, as his face hardens. " I don't need to tell you anything. And last I checked it's none of your business who my father is. Stay out of it Natasha!" My mouth opens but quickly shuts. A cold shiver runs down my spine. Like a budding flower, it starts. Slow and gentle but it rises to a wail that tares at my heart. Thousands of voices, maybe more crying out together in total sorrow. I fall to my knees. The weight of sorrow presses me into the concrete. My mind is clouded with pain, my heart grows cold and numb. I pull on Torrin's arm. "Why am I felling this? I don't like feeling like this way." "Neither do we." Someone says from behind us. Torrin and I turn around, facing the person who spoke. It is a woman, a goddess to be exact. She has creamy, milk colored skin that has a slight tan on some parts and a near flawless complexion. Her hair falls in golden ringlets down her back and over her shoulders. Her eyes are green and she has a light, brown beauty mark on her left cheek, an inch or so below her eye. Her waist, although not bone skinny, is neither chunky nor thick. She has very shapely, strong and muscled legs. She has a very admirable beauty and a tender, time bearing face. "Torrin, why have you brought this beast here?" She questions eyeing me. Torrin glares at her. "It's not the time for such questions Hera." You can hear the frustration in his voice. "Where is Zeus?" Hera gives him a side eye. "Stop asking me questions you already know the answer to. You know damn well where everyone goes at a time like this." They both stare at each other as if having some type of mental battle. Something tells me they had some type fling. Torrin breaks his stare from her, before looking down at me. "I'm gonna go talk to Zeus, Hera here will help you get dressed." My eyes widen as I look at myself. Why do I always end up nude at the wrong time? "Alright." My hands try their best to cover me up, but fail. We fall into an awkward silence, all of us avoiding each other's gaze. Torrin clears his throat. "I'm just gonna go now." I watch as he walks away, leaving me alone with Hera. "Come on beast, we don't have all day." My mouth forms into a thin line. "My name is Natasha, and I'd like it very much if you'd call me by that." She goes to say something, but I bare my fangs at her, shutting her up instantly. "I've never tried Goddess blood before, would you like to be my first." Hera visibly gulps, which makes me smirk. She was all bark, but no bite. "Follow me... Natasha." She says, walking forwards. I follow behind her, making sure to keep my eyes on my surroundings. Majority of everything in here is white and gold, with a lot of glass. After a couple of minutes, Hera leads me into a foreign bedroom. The door is white. The room is about three lengths of my arm span, including the closet. We walk in and the white wooden floors creak. In the center-left and far-left is a queen-size bed, with white and gold covers. "Do you guys not know any other colors?" I question. "All this white and gold is sickening." Hera rolls her eyes. "White represents purity and gold represents royalty. We are God's so it's best that we represent those colors." She reaches into the nearest dresser and pulls something out. "Put this on." She says handing me a white dress. Grabbing the dress, I don't protest. Slipping it on, I tie the belt around my waist. Hera walks around me, her eyes trained on my face. "You're actually quite pretty for a--" I raise my brow at her and she catches herself. "I mean, you're pretty... I see why Torrin has taken a liking to you." My face turns into a frown and I sigh. "All we did was have s*x, can you guys stop bringing it up." My eyes lower, looking at my hands. "Besides, why are you so worried about Torrin's s*x life. Aren't you God's supposed to belong to only one person?" Hera chuckles. "As a God, you get to have relations with anyone you please. As you can see that's why Zeus has so many heirs." I smirk. "So in other words, you guys have commitment issues." My smirk widens. "Your husband can't keep his d**k in his pants, which is okay with you. Until he sticks it into some female you don't like." She glares. "That's not true." "Sure it isn't." I walk towards the door and look back at her. “Do you happen to have any clean underwear?" Hera shakes her head no. “Freeballing it is then,” I mumble to myself, before looking back at Hera. “Thanks for the dress... Mistress." Before she can say anything else, I'm out the door. My eyes wander around the Palace and land on the amazing view of outside. There's a river, clear as crystal, it flows from the throne of Zeus and down the middle of the city. On each side of the river, there is a tree of life. It reminds me of the river in the underground. Their city is filled with the brilliance of costly stones and crystal clear jasper. Twelve gates and twelve foundations sit high enough that no human being can cross. "Natasha?" Torrin calls my name. I turn around to face him and for a second, he doesn't say a word. He only stares at me. "Umm," He says, coming back to reality. "Zeus is, ready to speak with you... alone." I frown. "Alone?" Why the hell does he want to speak alone? "Umm, alright." I take a step forward. "Lead the way." Hopefully, this goes well.
