She watched Alex arrange the dishes on the dining table that morning with Adrian right beside her, helping her out. The house was a bit calm as everyone had dispersed for their various homes that morning.
"So, you actually thought it was wise to reject Amos as a mate?" Adrian asked, wiping his hand with a napkin.
"I can't stand him, brother, he's a coward. I'm better off alone," she said, licking her Orange.
"You know, it's not as easy as you thought. We both know Amos and marriage is far from his thoughts right now, and that's the reason I warned you about him," Alex said with a smile.
"You actually wanted me to be with him," she cut in.
