Chapter 71: She Has Left
"I'll come to see you when I have time. Take good care of yourself."
"Okay."
The phone in her bag started vibrating. Selena Patrick took it out and saw that it was a call from Edward Maugham.
She didn't want to answer, but she was afraid that not answering might cause more trouble and prevent her from leaving smoothly.
So she answered, "Hello?"
"Where are you?" he asked.
"I'm with Jiyan. Is there something wrong?" She held the phone and sat up straight.
There was a faint chuckle on the other end. "Nothing much, just got a withdrawal notification. I was wondering if ten thousand is enough. If not, I can have Gale Jonathan send more over."
