Chapter Twenty-Five I couldn’t tell how much time passed, but I knew it had to be a few days. My face had fully healed, allowing both my eyes to open now. Every now and then, a tray of food would get pushed into my cell. And it was a race to get to it before the rats do. I used my phone at first to look around, and I really wished I hadn’t. I was in a small cell with bars on all 4 sides. All but one side was connected to the other cells around me, that had people much like me inside them. They were really worse for ware. Most shuttered and scurried away from the light when I looked around. They all refused to say a word when I tried to reach out to them.
