Chapter Forty-Four I couldn’t focus on the work in front of me, I felt myself tear up every time my mind slipped to Ronan, or Audrey. I didn’t understand how this could have happened. The thought disgusted me to no end. At least Ronan seemed to be on my side, but how much of it was actually true? I sighed as I pushed away from my desk. I looked over the garden below, the snow was melting and spring would soon be upon us. The sky, still blanketed with clouds, felt more suffocating than normal. I mindlessly watched the people below move about their day, laughing or talking amongst themselves as they did. I couldn’t help but sigh. My world may be falling around me, but it was still moving.
