Commandant Perez watched as the last of the two strongboxes of gold was placed in the secure room for safe keeping. The Captain, who was in charge of the guard detail protecting the gold shipment, turned to Perez and handed him some documents to sign. “I am happy to pass this responsibility off to you,” said the captain, “It has weighed heavily on me getting it here.”
