Chapter 12 Kris faded back into the crowd. She’d never felt worse in her life. She had wanted to be there for Korrin, but she couldn’t bring herself to go up to him and tell him goodbye. She had a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach that if she told him goodbye, it would be the last thing she ever said to him. Kris wandered through the camp, unsure of what she should do.
