Loren's POV:
For the last couple of days, I didn't feel well. I don't know what was wrong with me. The worst part is that I pushed Dylan away. He only wanted to help me. Alice did it too. Yesterday I called her. We made up the things. Of course, she had a lot of questions. This time, I happily answered them. I don't want to hide anything from her. After all, we are best friends. I'm glad to have a friend like her. It was because she defended me from Christina. If I have to text someone, I feel better. I mean, I can be myself. The problems appear when I have to talk in person. I act the same when it comes to Dylan. The fact that I can't make eye contact makes it worse. I know he wants to look at me, but I become nervous. Once we did it and it was a disaster. At least for me. I don't know why I feel like that talking to him. He is an ordinary boy like everyone else. Well, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Let's be honest. Dylan is the prettiest boy I have ever seen. Maybe he doesn't see it, but I do. I have never had a crush before. I will say that this is from my hormones. After all, I am still in eleventh grade. That makes me immature. I'm not desperate to have a boyfriend, but I want to have Dylan. Every girl wants him. That's why it's so hard for me to compete. I don't even fit in. I need to give up on that and focus on myself. I study all the time. Maybe I can find a hobby. Before, I used to draw. Now I don't do it that often. I have to bring my art passion back to life. It's not like I am good. Honestly, I am doing this for fun. My art won't be in a museum, so I can do whatever I want with this. I hope that it will keep me distracted. I don't want to go back to my bad mood.
Currently, I am in school. Can someone tell me why does it have to be so early? We can go at 9 am and finish later. I don't see a problem. After all, teachers stay here until like 5 pm. I know they have a lot of work, but students have it too. I would love to sleep for one more hour. It's not like I care for beauty, but I do care for my health. To say it shortly, I want to sleep more. I'm jealous of how energetic Alice is. Sometimes I want to steal her mood. Sadly, it's not possible.
I'm waiting for Alice to arrive. This time I am here before her. Once she came two minutes before the start of the class. My best friend doesn't like to be late, but sometimes it happens. I have done the same, so I understand her frustration. Soon Alice came in, running. It's like she has been on a marathon. Please tell me she didn't run all the way here. We have ten minutes until the start of the class. Maybe she overslept. It's better if I don't know.
- Hey, are you ok?
- Yes, I'm fine.
- Why were you running? We have enough time.
- We have two minutes.
- What? Alice, we have ten minutes.
- No, there are two. - my best friend said and pulled out her phone
- Look at mine. They are ten.
- So I ran for nothing?
- Well, it's good training.
- Great. Now I will sweat.
- I won't be so sure. During fall, people don't sweat that much. It's mostly in summer.
- Don't worry. I got prepared. - she said and pulled out a deodorant
- Do you want to kill me or what?
My best friend put too much of that thing. Now I will sleep too. At least she could've picked a better-smelling one. I like vanilla and cinnamon. These two make a great combination. When Alice was ready, we walked to class. Dylan and Jackson walked right after us. Since I was in a better mood, my shyness came back. It's not like I am happy. I was looking at them when Dylan lifted his head. He smiled at me, which made me nervous again. I felt how my cheeks were burning. I quickly smiled at turned around.
- If you don't tell him how you feel, one day you will explode. - Alice said, chuckling
- No!
- At least I don't have that problem.
- Can you leave me alone?
- I'm sorry, but you are stuck with me.
- Oh, great.
On the lunch break, everyone went to eat. I was walking to the cafeteria when I noticed that the door of the boy's room was open. Dylan and Jackson were talking. Let's say that both of them were shirtless. What I'm doing is wrong, but I can't stop staring. I'm not the person who checks people out, but I can't get my eyes off him. Maybe I have to start training as well. I don't think I'm fat, but this can distract me. You know what? That can be my hobby. One hour of training won't do any harm.
- What are you doing?
- Aagh! Alice, why did you scare me?
- Hold on. Are you checking Dylan out?
- N-no.
- Is that Jackson?
- Yes.
- After all, I made a good choice.
- What do you mean?
- I picked the right guy to like. - Alice said, chuckling
- Good for you.
- I want to hear their conversation.
- That is not right. We have to go.
- Shhh. - my best friend said and put her finger on my mouth
- What is going on with you? Lately, you have been ignoring me. - Dylan said
- I'm sorry, but I was with someone. - Jackson said
- Who? Alice?
- What? No. Why would I be with her?
- Because you spent some time with her.
- Man, that was a one-time thing. I won't do it again.
- Why? She is a good girl.
- So? Both with Loren are the same.
- Hey, not nice. There is nothing wrong with them.
- I didn't say that. I prefer to be with girls who know how to have fun and are not nervous when they talk.
- Ok, you were rude.
- Can I know how you changed so fast?
- Me or you? Since you came back to Christina and her girls, you have become different. I can't even recognize my best friend anymore.
- Excuse me? I am the same guy.
- Are you sure? You were never mean to anyone, and now you talk sh*t about Alice and Loren. I know you had fun with her. Why are you distancing from that?
- I'm not because I never enjoyed it.
- You can lie to whoever you want, but not me. If Christina has told you something, you shouldn't believe it. She is mad at me for talking with Loren.
- I'm going to eat. - I said and took Alice with me
- Wait!
- No. We shouldn't be here. What we heard is not our business.
- This b*tch made him hate me.
- She didn't do that.
- Yes, she did. Look at Jackson. He got brainwashed.
- Everything will be fine. Talk with Jackson and find out what is going on.
- Hey, girls. Can I eat with you?
- Hey, Dylan. Feel free to join us. - Alice said
- Are you ok?
- Yes, I'm fine.
- I'm sorry about what Jackson said. I don't know what is going on with him.
- How do you know?
- It's not only you who can see through the door.
- I'm sorry.
- Don't worry. Talk with Jackson. It looks like he won't listen to me.
- I don't know.
- That is the only way to find out what is going on.
- I agree here. - I said
- How are you today, Loren?
- I-I'm fine.
- The shy Loren is back. - Alice said, chuckling
- I'm glad to hear that. If you want, I can text you.
- N-no. I-it's ok.
- No one will see us. You can relax. Also, we are only talking.
- I know. Thanks.
- You're welcome.
- Why are you not with them? - Alice asked
- I don't want to be around Christina. She is giving me bad vibes. - Dylan said, chuckling
- Does this mean we give you good ones?
- Yes. I like being here. Loren, how is the mystery club going?
- F-fine.
- Can I know what you are doing there?
- Go on, Loren. You created it.
- Well, we-we play a game called Case Files.
- I think I have heard of it.
- They give you a murder to solve. - Alice said
- I understand. I guess it's fun.
- We are people who love criminal books and mysteries.
- I would've joined, but my interest is not that big.
- So what? Our doors are always open for more members.
- Loren, are you ok?
- You are starting. - my best friend said, whispering
- Huh?
- I asked if you were ok.
- Y-yes. Don't worry.
- Do you have work today?
- I have to study.
- Except for that.
- N-no, but i-it takes me a lot of t-time.
- Can you free one hour for me?
- I-I don't know.
- If you want, we can study again with FaceTime. Will this make you feel better?
- Um, i-it will be fine.
- Ok, then. I'll text you when I go home.
- Yeah, s-sure.
- Great.
After school, I walked home. Why did I agree to study with Dylan? As if it's not enough that I'm nervous when he is around. I'm not going to lie. My dream is slowly coming true. I wanted to spend more time with Dylan and for him to notice me. I took my books and put them on the bed. I have a desk, but I feel more comfortable lying down. Soon I received a message from Dylan. He was ready to study. I called him on Facetime, and he picked up.
- Hello, teacher.
- Hey, student. How are you today?
- I'm good, thanks. With what we'll start?
- What do you want us to do?
- I don't know.
- How about the homework and then the lessons.
- Great.
- Ok.
- Can you do me a favor?
- Yes, sure. What is it?
- I want you to put the bun and glasses on.
- Why?
- Because I like them on you.
- Oh, ok. Give me a minute.
When I was ready, we started studying. Honestly, now I feel calmer than in school. Dylan can still see what I do, but he is not around. Also, if something happens, I can end the call. We finished the homework for an hour. Dylan played soft music to focus. I have never tried that. Later, we started with Physics. It's not my favorite subject, but I like it. Well, I like all of them. After all, I am trying to be a good student.
- Loren, what is the answer to question two?
- Where are you looking?
- Right after the end of the lesson.
- Oh, I found it. Check paragraph four.
- I get it, thanks.
- You're welcome.
- Can we do this all the time? You made me start liking studying. - Dylan said, chuckling
- No problem, but we better keep FaceTime.
- Whatever you say. - he said, smiling
Dylan and I studied for two hours, and we took a break. Mostly, we talked about school and what was going on with us. Now I feel more open. It's like I can tell him everything. Maybe I have to do it.
- What is going on with Jackson?
- I don't know. He is weird. I think Christina might have told him something.
- I don't like this girl.
- Me either. I only feel sorry for Alice. I know she likes him.
- She told you?
- Yes. I met her one day and wanted to ask about you. Then she told me that.
- I'm surprised.
- For now, only you and I know.
- It better be this way. She has to deal with this.
- I hope my best friend will bring back his senses.
- Alice will do her job. I believe in her.
- I know it sounds weird, but do you want us to watch a movie together? There are online party rooms.
- Can you explain?
- There are websites on which you can invite friends and watch the movie together.
- Ok, but can we finish our lessons first?
- Of course.
When we finished our last lesson, Dylan sent me a link to one of these websites. I have heard of them but never used a single one. Let's say that Alice is at home all the time. He let me choose the movie. I wanted to watch Fate: The Winx Saga again. Dylan looks like the actor who plays Sky. Before I watched the show, I had no idea who this man was. I played the show and stayed silent. The thing is that I want to see Dylan's reaction when Sky appears. That will be interesting.
- Hey, that guy looks like me. - Dylan said, chuckling
- I wanted to see your reaction. The actor does look like you.
- Maybe we are brothers.
- He is older than you and has a girlfriend.
- So?
- The girl who plays Bloom is dating him.
- That is interesting. The actor is dating a girl with ginger hair. I am watching this with a girl with ginger hair. - Dylan said, and I laughed
- I guess it's a coincidence.
- No, no. That is a sign.
- A sign for what?
- Since the actor is dating someone, I should do it too.
- Why?
- So he can't beat me.
- Good luck with that. Fans already love Danny.
- Who?
- The actor's name is Danny.
- You mean Daniel.
- No, Danny. Check it online.
- Can we watch another episode? I want to know what will happen.
- Sure. There are only seven in the first season.
- How many seasons the show has?
- For now, only two. There might be more. I don't know.
- Well, when the new one comes out, I will happily watch it with you.
- Ok, thanks.
- Now for the big question of the day.
- Which is?
- Will you the Bloom to my Sky? To help me have better grades and educate me.
- Are you inviting me to be your teacher?
- Online teacher. I mean, what we are doing now.
- Well, I might do it.
- Might or will?
- As long as we keep the FaceTime, I am good.
- No worries. We'll do it the way you feel more comfortable.
- Thanks. In that case, I have to accept.
- Really?
- Yes.
- Thank you. It won't be forever, but only until the upcoming tests pass.
- Don't worry. I have time.
Dylan and I watched another episode before I went for dinner. I think he liked the show. At 8 pm, I received a message from him. The boy wanted to watch it until it was bedtime. I don't know what is happening with him, but I like we can spend so much time together, even if it's not in person. Let's hope Dylan won't try to be Sky because of me. I don't need him to save me. I won't lie. It's a bit funny. Maybe I have to watch the whole show with him. This boy is great. Probably in person, things will be better, but I still can't do it. When I overcome my shyness, I will do it. I hope that it will happen before I graduate. I want to have some fun with him.
