The crisp morning air hits my face as soon as I exit the pack house. I had to skip my morning run, as I did not need Maximus to take over and run to our mates house. I barely got any sleep last night with Maximus’s near constant nagging about us going to see our mate. Don’t get me wrong, I would have loved to go and be closer to our mate. I just know that Max and I would lose control and end up on her doorstep and we have to be careful with her. She is human after all, some random man showing up at her door in the middle of the night would be a red flag for sure. Plus, I already feel like a total pervert after getting off to her picture.
