Juniper’s POV
My day has been hectic and it isn’t even noon yet. I had to block all distractions and work at lightning speed so that nothing on my to do list was missed, even with the unexpected schedule change.
This meeting was weird. Everything about it feels different and unnatural. First, Mr Grinwich was waiting for me in my office rather than calling for me to come to his office, as is his standard practice. Then, the fact that I am being summoned to the meeting in the first place. Why me and not his pack lawyer, like he usually does? All I can think is that maybe this meeting isn’t a pack related meeting. Or maybe his pack lawyer is already attending other needs and I am the next best thing?
