Chapter 5: His Hell

Warm thick tears spilled from Hrida's eyes as she read through it. She understood who was Rutvi and ran outside to meet her without even caring to take her glasses which had fell down when she slumped on the ground reading the lines. She went to the food court and huffed heavily ordering for two milk teas. Everything was looking blur but she didn't mind and went to the place they sit every day. She took the two cups and went their with quick steps trying her best to not drop the hot tea. She went and sat down on the bench where she saw Rutvi and started speaking,

"Yeh lo chai piyo.."

(Here have this tea)

But Rutvi wasn't taking the tea which confused her. Suddenly a hand held her wrist and she turned infront to see a girl holding her wrists gently. The girl started speaking,

"Hrida tum isko kyu Chai de rahi ho?"

(Why are you giving her tea?)

"Rutvi? "

Hrida knew the voice, it was Rutvi. She spoke perplexed at the situation now. Rutvi took one cup and held Hrida to take her to the bench she was sitting on. A girl was sitting on the bench they usually sit on so she took another seat but then she saw Hrida going there. She was confused at her behaviour. She made Hrida sit and asked her,

"Tu usko Chai kyu de rahi thi? "

(Why were you giving her the tea)

Hrida was scared to admit she had forgotten Rutvi. She didn't want to look like a fool and did not want to hurt Rutvi. Rutvi's confidence in her and their friendship scared her. She started sweating looking at Rutvi but to her utmost relief Rutvi spoke first. Rutvi looked at her with a scruntizing gaze and said,

"Ek minute, tera chasma kaha hai? Oh tujhe dikh nahi raha rukk yahi baith hum laate hain abhi.."

(One minute, where are you specs? Oh you can't see properly that's why you got confused, wait you sit here I'll bring it back..)

Rutvi ran to bring the specs and Hrida sighed in relief. That was a close call, thank god Rutvi didn't realise. She realised Rutvi cared so much about her. It warmed her heart. Soon Rutvi got back with the specs and Hrida wore it happily. They both talked and the day went well. It was the dispersion time finally but it was raining today. Hrida and Rutvi were standing outside the university under the shade of a small snack store. Hrida was waiting for a bus, Rutvi had strict orders from her mother to not get wet in rain whole in college after her last time. Soon Hrida's bus arrived, Rutvi looked at it and noticed something. She asked Hrida,

"Do you go home by this bus? "

Hrida hummed and Rutvi gasped dramatically trekking Hrida she needs the same bus for home. After some time they got to know about each other's houses properly. Hrida's bus stop was before Rutvi's and Rutvi could take an auto ride from there to her home. They decided to take the next bus. After sometime, another bus appeared. They got on the bus quickly to avoid rain. While on bus, they discussed more and there came up a decision, they decided to go to the college together by train and while returning they would take a bus route. It was indeed a great idea, afterall a journey gets much enjoyable with a perfect company.

They finalized the deal of travelling together. Hrida somewhere knew it was breaking the rules of Travis but she didn't want to believe she's breaking any as they will go home it's just a coincidence to have the similar route. The next day, they went by train. They had told each other to get into the ladies compartment of the front. They met at the Hridyapur station from where Hrida joined Rutvi and they went together. Initially both were scared and unknown to the opposite's routes. Once they got out of the station, Rutvi walked Hrida to a juncture of lanes.

She took the right lane and they went forward. Hrida got confused when Rutvi went to a more deserted area. She wanted to ask but held herself not wanting to question her Friend. Soon her confusion got cleared as they got infront of a temple. Rutvi opened her shoes and got inside but turned and looked at Hrida who was standing in front of the temple with teary eyes. Rutvi went back to her and asked her what wrong but Hrida didn't spoke a word instead signed Rutvi to go. Rutvi hesitantly went inside and poured the water on the Shivlinga bowing to the ground and took some water rubbing it on her forehead and eyes. It calmed her mind, she went to the nandi ji's ear and wishpered her wish to lord Shiva.

Soon she turned back but rushed on seeing Hrida crying silently, she was not even blinking as the tears poured down her soft cheeks. Rutvi wiped her tears and asked again what's wrong but Hrida didn't say anything. Rutvi was getting confused, she was concerned about Hrida but didn't know what to do. She took out Hrida's bag and pulled her legs to open her shoes. Once she did she took the still Hrida inside and Hrida fell on her knees. She cried bitterly for a moment making Rutvi scared. Rutvi held Hrida and hugged her caressing her back. She shouldn't have brought Hrida here maybe she brought her painful memories fresh infront of her.

After sometime Hrida got calm and Rutvi gave her some water. Hrida drank and took a Beal Patra from the Shivlinga. She kept it in her bag and looked at Rutvi finally smiled. When they got here Hrida felt a sudden outburst of her hidden emotions. Her love for it, her longings made her tears slip unconsciously. She kept looking at him, her Shiv .He is the only one she believes blindly. She kept looking at it like it was the most beautiful view infront of her eyes. She missed meeting him, it was so long that it felt like almost an eternity. She didn't realise anything around her as if she was spellbound at the moment forgetting everything.

All her complains, all the trauma and every injustice done with her came like a flash infront of her eyes and she broke down infront of Rutvi. When Rutvi hugged her, she couldn't explain in words how warm and safe she felt. For the first time someone tried to understand her feelings too unconditionally. She closed her eyes as she breathed deeply trying to compose her. She felt much lighter as if a big burden was taken off her shoulders. She felt nice, she smiled looked at Rutvi. She's really happy to have her. After sometime they went to the University but directly to the class as they didn't had extra time today. The day went smooth and everything was fine.

Staying together it was already more than two months. Time flew in a blink, both the girls gad their friendship at its peak. Their bond kept getting stronger with the passage of time. Travis was noticing everything but was silent, maybe to get his prey in his hold in a worse way. Travis had been trying to get near Hrida in the university but she had been avoiding him totally. Rutvi had noticed the tension between them but didn't speak about it not having any conclusion about it. Travis was known to all this, he had his sharp eyes on her all the time but kept his mouth mum. He was trying his best to be patient and wait till she committed a mistake. He knows she's really smart but an absolute emotional fool.

It was lunch time, Hrida had went to the girls toilet. It was filled with a few girls when she entered but as she got out there was no one around. Strange, she thought but went to wash her hands buy got shocked when she saw his reflection on the washroom mirror. He was standing leaning gis back on the wall like a hunter, his onyx eyes boring into hers. She got scared looking at him but he didn't do anything. She had forgot washing her hands so he got up straight and walked towards her in long strides. She was almost shivering in fear.

He hugged her from behind and started washing her hands while inhaling her fruity fragrance. He started kissing her Jaw when she finally came to her senses and started struggling in his hold. He chuckled darkly feeling her meek attempts to get away from him. Always so scared and innocent, always resisting his touch. Only if she knew her resistance just made him crave for her more deeply. She tried to get away but he caught her wrist and whispered into her ears huskily,

"Come to my cabin right now preciousa"

She felt goosebumps all over her body as he spoke into her ears. Her heart was beating like a drum and she felt like she will faint. Her fingers were freezing cold and shaking with fear. She tried to speak but he held her hand and started dragging her with him. But as he went out dragging her Rutvi saw them. She was waiting for Hrida in the class to go to the food court together but when Hrida didn't came she thought of going to check on her. She was walking to the washroom when she saw Travis holding Hrida's wrist and dragging her while Hrida was struggling hard to get her hand free.

She followed them to the cabin and when they were about to enter inside she stopped them by holding Hrida. She held Hrida's other hand and pulled her making her stop. Travis felt the hindrance in the movement turned around to look at the stupid girl friend of his wife again meddling in his business. She is getting herself into troubles for no reason. She looked at him sharply and inhaled a deep breath as she spoke,

"Leave her hand sir, what kind of behavior is this?! "

"Get lost "

He spoke blankly making but the girls nervous by the dominance and authority of his tone. Hrida almost cried being scared but Rutvi tried to speak again,

"You are literally forcing your student, this is molestation leave her hand or I will scream right here "

She spoke nervously yet firmly making Travis leave her hand. He didn't want to create a scene at the moment made a mental note to punish Hrida for this. This girl is speaking too much, he needs to get her away from his wife before she infiltrates her mind with her stupid ideas. He looked at Rutvi and told her,

"You should not meddle in my stuff Ms Kashyap..I had some work for her and I would like to see you later Ms Hrida Rai Singh "

Hrida knew she messed up but she didn't know what to do at the moment exactly. Rutvi took Hrida with her and they went off. Rutvi took Hrida to the silent classroom first, she gave Hrida some water to let her calm herself. She consoled Hrida at first and once she found the situation fine she tried to investigate what had been happening with her. She knew something was off about Mr Escoffier and Hrida. Rutvi was trying to calmly understand if he had been doing any inappropriate stuff or blackmailing Hrida in any way but before Hrida could speak she saw the deep red marks on Hrida's wrist due to the right hold of Travis. This angered her, she got up and took Hrida with her too the principal room. Till now she was just predicting about all this but the mark on Hrida's wrist proved that she was not really wrong.

She took Hrida to the principal and complained to him that a professor from their department had been mentally and physically molesting her friend. She told the principal about Travis Escoffier's behavior with Hrida and showed Hrida's wrist proving her words. Hrida, who thought Rutvi was right nodded her head in agreement to her words. She didn't like the professor's behaviour, he wasn't someone close to her even or that's what she was thinking. She didn't know why she was feeling afraid of him so much but she wanted to be away from him. His presence scared her for no reason and he was dangerous too. His behavior with her was not like a teacher's with their student. The Principal was surprised when Hrida joined Rutvi's confession. He knew that Travis was Hrida's husband but his own wife complaining about his behavior confused him.

The Principal agreed and told them he take some action about it. He ensured them that he will look into it and sent them. Rutvi smiled and took Hrida with her. They were feeling much better now so they went to have their lunch. The Principal called Mr Escoffier and very politely asked him to meet him on his cabin. Travis didn't know how the Principal got the guts to speak with him but there must be some issue related to the University maybe that's the reason he called him. Travis went to the cabin and sat down on the chair comfortably when the principal greeted him and asked him if he was okay. Travis being in a sir mood asked him directly to complete his talk and cut off the formalities. The Principal told him about the complaint against him. He said,

"I understand sir that you need some intimate time with your wife but I don't think the university students shall get known to it right? "

Travis glared at the principal, the old hag was going to direct him now. He looked at the principal and said directly,

"Its a private matter I don't think anyone else should dare to get involved "

The principal chuckled and said in a sweet sarcastic tone,

"Yes sir obviously, you own this place but it was your wife who accompanied the student and complained about you showing her fair wrists which had turned red due to your hold..I think you should know how to control her.."

" What?! "

Travis was surprised, this was humiliating. She dared to go against him, his fairy got her wings really high. Too bad, he will make sure to cut them off brutally. He looked at the principal and said,

"Hmm I will look into it..and Mr Desai it will be good for you if you know how to use your tongue properly before it gets cut into pieces.. yeah?! "

Travis left from the place instantly, his insides were burning. The cheap low life dared to mock him, the Travis Escoffier. He was feeling his words directed towards his masculinity such triggered him. He walked out to the garden side, he must pay her a good visit.

Hrida and Rutvi were done with their lunch. They were going towards the water machine at the other side behind the food stalls of the cafeteria shed as Rutvi needed to fill her water bottle such had gone empty. She loves to drink water when is cool and the only good thing about the university is the chilled cool water which she loved. They were walking towards the machine when a few guys came infront of them. One of them was standing in the front. The place was almost clear except a few students around a little away in the other side of the machine. The boy was a senior from their department itself, he was from the second year and really famous in the university for being handsome and have published his book due to bring one of the brightest students.

He scooted closer to them and looked at Hrida who was looking at him confused just like he friend. They tried to walk away but he got into their path again and that's when Rutvi spoke,

"Kya hua bhaiya? "

(What happened brother?)

One of the boys replied to her,

"Ye humara dost, he wants to say something to your friend.."

(Our friend here)

The boy finally took out a rose from his back pocket and taking it in his hand stooped down on his knees, he looked up at Hrida and said very nicely.

"I think uh I actually like you Hrida, will you be my girlfriend.."

Rutvi laughed but smiles at the confession. Even though it was classic but it was a good one. She clapped but Hrida was looking pale. Hrida got scared the moment the boy went on his knees. She didn't know why she was scared but she was feeling everything was so wrong as if someone is going to catch her while committing a sin. And if she's caught, she's going to face the death. He hands were sweating and shaking in fear. The boy took her one palm on his but she tried to remove it and started repeating the same words in a trance,

"Sir ko accha nahi lagega cho choro.. please"

(Sir will not like it le leave please..)

Rutvi looked at this and thought to helping her but before she could understand the gibberish words of Hrida they all heard a loud voice banging their eardrums,

"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?! "

A fuming Travis was spotted, Hrida's heart felt like it was going to burst she quickly removed her shaking hand away from the boy. Her eyes started to water itself and she felt her knees going weak, her mind screamed danger. They boys went away in a jiffy and the one on his knees got up. He too got scared of the professor's glare and ran away. Hrida was hyperventilating at the moment but Travis started dragging her away. Rutvi started shouting on him and going behind them creating a fuss when someone held her hand tightly. She looked at the unknown stranger, he was wearing a mask but his dark cold eyes were fixed on her. He masked intruder had broad shoulders, thick arms and looked really well muscled but she started struggling as she didn't had any time to waste on the handsome stranger. She started shouting on him to saying,

"Hello Mr leave my hand or I will not let you go..I need to help my friend leave me"

He looked at her with his want cold gaze and said,

"Shut up your annoying "

His voice was cold and emotionless as if spoken by a robot but the deepness and dominance made her stop for a moment. She looked at him and again started her rant when he clicked his tongue and hit her nerve at her neck to make her unconscious. He was perfect with the martial arts techniques and she fell on him. He looked at her frustrated and took her on his shoulder carrying her to his car. He threw her gently inside the back seat and bound her by the seat belts at the back. Yvis started driving back the mansion, this girl always gets into trouble. He was here for some work with Travis but when he saw Travis walking furiously towards the garden he followed him. He saw the scene of the boy proposing her and understood this is going to get ugly. Travis took Hrida away but this fool was again meddling with him. Such a stupid girl, he could kill her on a blink and her dead body wont be even found ever.

Travis was seeing red, he had gone feral seeing that asshole proposing his wife. What made it worse was her silence, she was silent enjoying his touch like a slut. She didn't had to always get on his nerves but she somehow managed to do it everytime. He will show her hell for making him go through all this, he was just being romantic but she ruined it again with her foolishly.

A new hell is waiting for her once they get home. He promised her.
