Chapter EightOne year before Raven's incarceration at Salverford prison “Will you please just tell me where we're going?” Raven pleaded, half exasperated and half bemused. “No! I've told you, it's a surprise.” Seraphia laughed gently as she weaved her way through the tall grass. He squinted to make out her shape as she crossed the rugged ground. In the pitch darkness he could only just make out her outline, silhouetted against the far-off glow of streetlights.
