“So what did you want to talk to me about?” she enquired with as little emotion as possible. Khan sighed and sat on the sofa with her. He passed her a cup of hot coffee and she wrapped her fingers around the cup, relishing the warmth spreading over her hands. She closed her eyes and breathed in the steam swirling from the dark liquid. The smell that reached her nostrils was one she hadn't smelled in a long time.
