Chapter ThirtyPresent day The world was collapsing. Despair rippled through Raven, and his body shook as great sobs heaved up through his throat. He was disoriented and the world made no sense anymore. Colours swirled in his vision, though he could not understand the shapes they made. Sitting alone in his room, nothing meant anything anymore. He had taken Alexia for granted, never realising that, over the past month, he had been recovering, slowly coming to terms with life. Alexia had been nurturing him, intentionally or not.
