Chapter 4 Caught In The Act

Alpha Leo

The alarm had just rung for the fifth time. Again, I stretched my arm and snoozed it, with my eyes still tightly closed.

I tried going back to sleep, but I could not. I got up from the king-sized bed and began moving towards the door in clumsy steps.

My head was banging badly, and I felt like if I took the next step, I would fall. I must have drained myself from licking her wounds yesterday.

I sat on the floor and crossed my legs, in a position as though I was going to meditate.

I took deep breaths, as I felt the energy surge through my veins.

After some time, I felt rejuvenated. I stood up and walked down the passage until I reached a room which was decorated in blue.

I entered the room and found her still lying down in the same position.

I sat down on a chair beside the bed in which she lay and stared at her for some time. My heart began to flutter, and I felt a desire to run my fingers on her face.

Her breasts were peeking out of the dress she wore. I felt a rush of pleasure as I stared, which did not make any sense at all.

Maybe it was just because of her mesmerizing beauty.

With steady hands, I brought the duvet up her body until her chest and body were properly covered, leaving only her face exposed.

As much as I tried, I could not look away. She had such beautiful, silky, blonde, long hair that sprawled all the way down to her abdomen. I placed two fingers just beneath her nostrils to check if she was still breathing.

She was.

I had earlier called the doctor to check up on her and he said she would be fine. She just needed sufficient rest.

The door slid open, and Nathan walked in. I had forgotten to lock it after me.

“Why have you been tending to her yourself?” Nathan must have tiptoed in because I did not hear any footsteps.

I sighed and rubbed my eye.

“Because I was the one that saved her. She is my responsibility for the meantime.”

“You could assign one of the maids to her.”

“I know, but I don’t want to.”

Nathan looked away. “Did the doctor come? I passed the message across to him as you requested.”

I smiled wryly. Nathan was very good at praising himself.

“Yes, the doctor came. He said she would be fine. We just have to be patient.”

Nathan did not seem convinced, but he did not push it further. He locked the door and walked up to me in slow, steady steps.

I stood up and pulled him into a hug. He held onto me as though his life depended on it.

“I have missed this,” he said, looking me in the eye.

“I know,” I said simply. “We really have not had time for ourselves for some days now. Now that the Moon festival is over, we would.”

“Well, we would have,” Nathan disengaged himself and sat beside her, “but I do not think we would.”

“What do you mean?”

“Well, it seems to me like you have someone new taking your attention these days.” He chuckled.

I approached him and lifted his face until our eyes met. I bent slightly and touched his lips with mine.

One touch and my whole body was on fire. He tiptoed until our lips met properly.

I began kissing him, first slowly, then with greater intensity. He moaned and the desire engulfing my body renewed.

I was about to pin him to the wall when we heard a slight knock on the door.

I pushed him away gently and took my position beside the young lady’s bed.

Nathan took deep breaths before answering the door.

A Delta manservant walked in.

“Lunch is ready, sir.”

“Gather the wolves. Tell them we are to have lunch together. There is something I must tell everyone to prevent misunderstandings in the future.”

“I will convey your message, sir.”

“What misunderstandings are you trying to prevent?” Nathan asked.

I smiled and licked my lips. “You will find out at the lunch gathering.”

I looked around the table; everyone was eating happily. The hall was large and food was surplus.

“I heard that Alpha Leo is harboring a stranger,” a woman said.

“Do not say what you are not sure of,” her mate replied.

After everyone had finished eating, I stood up.

“Thank you all for honoring my call,” I paused.

There was muttering, then silence.

“As you may know, there is a stranger in our midst. Yesterday, I came across a young lady who was being attacked by the wolves of Ravenclaw. She was almost close to death when Nathan and I rescued her.”

There was silence.

“What if the wolves report to Alpha Rio?” someone asked.

“No need to worry. No one has seen my true wolf form.”

“And the young lady? Where is she?”

“In my chambers. She is a part of us starting from today, if she agrees to our ways once she wakes up.”

“Wakes up? Is she still not awake?”

I felt a pang in my chest.

“She will wake up soon.”

After dismissing them, I returned to my chambers. Before I reached the bed, Nathan grabbed me from behind, s******g me before kissing me.

“You did not mention that you plan on letting her stay,” he said between kisses.

“Is that jealousy I smell?” I laughed. “You know I am only attracted to men.”

“That is what worries me. I have never seen you this particular about anyone.”

“You have nothing to worry about,” I sighed and kissed him again.

When he stroked his tongue into my mouth, I moaned and grabbed his butt.

He began undoing my buttons when I stopped him.

“We can’t do it here.”

“But I want you now, Leo.”

“You know we can’t.”

The room was quiet.

We jolted when we h

eard someone whimpering.

My heart dropped and I turned slowly.

She was awake, and her beautiful hazel eyes were staring right back at me.
