Leah stopped playing and immediately ran over to Derrick, the minute she noticed his presence. “Ricccckkkk ….”
Derrick caught the little pistol coming his way, just before she could run into him and possibly hurt herself. He picked Leah up and hugged her close “how is my princess?”
“Leah is upset … you promised to play with me but you left, you broke your promise …. My Cassie says, it is bad to break promises”.
“Your Cassie is right. I made a big mistake …. Please forgive me, my beautiful princess.”, Derrick pleaded with the little one.
Leah considered his request for a long time, finally she said “Okay … but just this once … never break a promise ever again …”.
