Cassie woke up at the first light of dawn. She didn’t sleep well last night … not only due to those re-occurring dreams about the painting from the cave but also because of her concern for Leah. She knew Leah was fine, physically … she’d checked for fever herself … it was something else, something she couldn’t quite put her finger on yet but couldn’t brush off this feeling either.
She needed to know what was going on with her baby girl so she could take care of it. Her little angel never goes to sleep without cuddling down with her for their daily story time but last night she did making Cassie feel as if something vital was missing. Cassie eagerly awaits for that part of their daily routine … it was their special time … extra special for the both of them but last night
